You can use your notebook for giving presentations by connecting an external monitor,
projector, or television to your notebook's VGA or optional HDMI port. This notebook

Simultaneous display lets you control a presentation from your notebook at the same
time as you face your audience.

Follow these steps to set up the display using a projector, monitor, or television:

1. Turn off the notebook.

2. Connect the cable to the projector, monitor, or television.

If you are using the VGA port, connect one end of the VGA cable to the
projector, monitor, or television.
If you are using the HDMI port, connect one end of the HDMI cable to the
monitor, projector, or television.

3. Connect the cable to the notebook.

If you are using the VGA port, connect to the VGA port on the notebook.

Note: The New Display Detected dialog box will only appear the first time an

viewing the display only on the LCD panel, viewing the display only on the external

icon Image. While holding the FN and the Display Toggle key down a viewing option
selection box similar to below will appear.

Once you have the viewing option selected, release both the FN key and the
Display Toggle key to select that viewing option.
