Importance of CV:

This week, I screened out around 500 CVs. How much time, I spent on selecting/rejecting a CV?
On average less than 1 minute. So, a candidate has only 1 minute to sell himself/herself. A
recruiter needs 'excuses' to press delete button. Major reasons of rejecting a CV:

1. Visuals. 'First impress is the last impression' is almost a Universal Truth.

2. Irrelevance
3. Lack of clarity
4.Grammatical/typo errors
5.Redundancy of content
6. Girlie stuff: Hobbies like baking, singing, floral art etc that has nothing to do with your image.
7. Hilarious stuff
8. Self-centered

CV is your "Elevator's Pitch". It is your ambassador. It represents you in your absence. It is your
brochure. It is your spokesperson. It has GOT TO BE IMMACULATE and it must work like
laser guided missile. It is not water-gun; it is your rifle.

About "Job Description"


To make sure employers consider your CV seriously, it is very important that you include a job
description for every position you held.

A high quality job description should include the following items:

 Main activity of the company


 Who you report to (the position of your direct manager)
 Who you manage
 Your responsibilities in the job
 Your main achievements in the job
 Reason for leaving

Wherever possible, you should include 'numbers' and quantities in the job descriptions e.g. how
many people you managed, how many clients you handled, how much revenue you generated
and over what period of time, etc.

Cargo services agent

Qatar Airways, is the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar.Reporting to the Manager cargo,I managed a
team of 5 professional cargo assistants,02 quality assistants,02 clerck,30 loaders and 03 drivers.

Main responsibilities

1-Increase the sales by delivering maximum cargo.


2-Timely briefing of operational plan to all staff reporting to me.
3-Conducting safety briefings on daily basis to ensure safe working environment.
4-Ensuring the efficient running of administration and office procedures.
5-Correspond to all official emails and calls and solve queries.
6-Attend monthly performance & policy review meeting.
7-Make detailed performance,tonnage,and services utilization report.
Reason of leaving: Wife's operation require my presence for more than 30 days.

SAPS

Shaheen Airport Services is the largest ground handling agency in the Foundation of Pakistan, providing
facilities to commercial, corporate and private airlines at Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta,
and Multan.started working with SAPS since 2006 till 2010 and joined back again 2013,here I report to
manager admin and finance,leading a team of 7 professional cargo assistant,01 admin assistant.

Main responsibilities

1-Managing daily and monthly sales.


2-Managing customers accounts.
3-Supervising export,import operation.
4-Correspond to all official emails and calls and solve queries.
5-Conduct safety briefings.
6-Make detailed performance,tonnage,and services utilization report
