Testing of DRYCRETE Moisture Stop was performed in accordance with

DIN 1048 section 7.6.

This permeability test gives a measure of concrete’s resistance against

the penetration of water at 28 days after casting specimens. The

concrete specimens are exposed to a water pressure of 0.5 N/mm² (72.5

psi or 5 bar) for a period of three days. Specimens are considered failed if

water permeates through the opposing surface or through the sides. An

example of the testing setup can be seen here.

Immediately after termination of the tests, specimens were cut and

measured for the depth of water permeation.

The following images display the visual results of the specimens tested

and a brief description is given as to the depth of penetration and if the

three specimens for each test passed or failed.

CONTROL SPECIMEN:
The images display the visual results

of the specimens tested and a brief

description is given as to the depth

of penetration and if the three

specimens for each test passed or

failed.

The control specimen testing had to

be stopped after three hours due to

water permeating through the sides

as seen in the photograph.

Specimens were removed at this

time and cut to measure the depth of

permeation as seen in in the photo

Over three specimens, permeation

averaged

98.425 mm (3.875 inches)
