Leadership Inventory Evidence

#1: Student will demonstrate autonomy and a minimized need for approval

This is a picture from my team in EGR 325 winning the final pitch competition. I chose this
because this was the highlight and culmination of our work in the class where it showed how we
could create a product that would be valued by CEO’s with a minimal need for approval.

#10:Student will demonstrate the ability to lead a project from start to finish
(follow-through)
This is from my engineering capstone class and was
our final design poster showcasing our project. This
was the work of two semesters and endless hours
and it shows how I saw and lead a project through
from the beginning to the end.
#40: Student will describe personal application of the above theory (Hersey & Blanchard)

This is a design brochure detailing some of the work that went into my senior engineering
capstone project. This shows my application of situational leadership because I had to work
differently with my two teammates in order for them to succeed and contribute to the project. A
big task for Mike was to design our project in CAD software, which can be seen in the bottom
right corner of the first image, and Samson wanted to take initial measurements of the design
specifications, which can be seen in the top right of the first image.

#42:Student will describe personal application of the above theory (Komives et al)
These are the strengths that I received from the Clifton Strengths test. By knowing what my
strengths were and understanding them, I was able to use them to bring different people
together and be a relational leader.

#90: Students will demonstrate personal application of the “Model of Intercultural Sensitivity” by
Bennett

This was the class that I was in during my summer immersion program in Berlin, Germany. This
was my first time out of the country, and the first time I was able to directly experience a culture
first-hand and shows how I was able to see the world in a new lens.

#97: Student will create a personal code of inclusive leadership

This is the book Leadership is an Art, by Max DePree. Reading this book gave me a whole new
perspective on leadership and taught me so many things that I had never thought of before. By
reading this book, I gained a new perspective and part of my personal code of leadership comes
from reading this book.

#99:Student will demonstrate proficiency of critical thinking

This is from my engineering entrepreneurship class and shows a presentation of our initial
concept design for our product. We worked very hard on this project, and ended up winning our
design competition, and this was our first step into showing the professor our critical thinking
behind the concept.
#103: Student will describe personal examples of having used five decision making methods

This was from my senior engineering capstone class. This is an analysis chart showing how we
determined our design concept. This shows one of the five decision making methods that I
mentioned in the outcome.

#159: Student will describe personal examples of mentoring and being mentored
This was a list of events that I created while I was the New Member Educator of my engineering
fraternity. This was my first experience being a mentor for others and was one of my most
influential learning experiences in college.

#161: Student will describe personal examples related to being a peer leader and being led by
peers

This was a presentation that I did with my group in my CSV 302 class. I chose this because this
was a time where I had to be a peer mentor to a group of fellow mentors, and it was one of my
most successful presentations.
