HRM & LW (Code 55) New Syllabus from Jan 2019


Analysis of the Revised Syllabus

UGC has changed syllabus of NET, w.e.f June 2019. The notification of
change of syllabus was published on 06 Jan 2019.

After analyzing, we find there primarily, there are following changes in


Human Resource Mgt. and Labour Welfare Code 55 of UGC NET (conducted
by NTA)-

1. Although there is no mention of “Employee Compensation Act 1923”, but


there is a new topic on Industrial Accidents and safety. So we must
continue considering it to be part of syllabus.
2. Although there is no mention of “Unorganized workers Act 2008,
Maternity Benefit act 1961, and ESIC Act 1948”, but they may be part of
topic of “Social Security” So we must continue considering it to be part of
syllabus. New Act has been added – Mines Act 1952.
3. Higher focus on International HRM topics.
