Types of Education
⚫ Formal education: imparted in schools & colleges.

⚫ Informal education: imparted by the family , press ,

radio or other medias.

⚫ Non formal education: correspondence courses, on job

training, satellite training program run by IGNOU.


Teaching / Learning
⚫ Teaching: Interaction between teacher & students to
achieve the desired outcome/ pre-decided goal &
objectives.
⚫ Learning: Change in the behavior of the students or
learners which is relatively permanent in nature.

Teaching is a social phenomena where as learning is a


psychological phenomena.

Aim is a predetermined goal,


which inspires the individual to
attain it through appropriate
activities. As education is a
planned & purposeful activity, the

1. VOCATIONAL EFFICIENCY:- Education
should prepare the child to earn his
livelihood & make herself sufficient.
2.KNOWLEDGE:- It is essential for
intellectual growth, good IPR, healthy
adjustment in life, self awareness,
attainment of knowledge is an important
aim of education.
3.COMPLETE LIVING:- Education acquaints
the person with activities of completed
living.

IMITATION :-
Imitation of an action performance when the learner
is exposed to an observable action he begins to make
convert imitation of that action.
MANIPULATION :-
At this level the learner is capable of performing an
act according to instructions rather than only by
observation.
COORDINATION :-
At this level skill is carried out smoothly with in a
reasonable time

HABIT FORMATION :-
At this level an act is performed automatically without
involvement of consciousness.
