Mr. Mahabir Sahu (Genral Manager)

(Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd. Neemrana)

Time flies very fast. Today the fast pace of life and competitive world
ahead forces the students to be more energetic and dynamic. I believe that
educational institutions play a vital role in molding the student’s future.

Education is not only related to academics but it is the sum total of what an
individual learns throughout his life. The key to success in the world lies in
the hope that education is a continuous and ongoing process and does not
end with obtaining high degrees. You need to be in touch with the world
and society at large if you wish to survive. you all are born with a free will.
Each one of you has the power and the privilege to decide for yourself
which road of life you want to tread on. The final decision rests within the
confines of your own mind whether you succeed or fail. Success ultimately
depends on you, so believe in yourself and trudge along the walk of walk
of life. Always remember that if a person remains steady in his
determination, he is sure to reach the goal. Let your highest aspiration
organize your life.

Academic Quality Management System

MDVM (PARLE) SCHOOL has established an Academic Quality Management System [AQMS] - a
scientifically aligned Teaching-Learning and Resource Management System that optimizes effort and
minimizes wastage in a school system, while promising greater efficiency in teaching and better learning.
The functions of the AQMS have been further enhanced with the recent inclusion of a tool that has greatly
improved the communication between various members of the MDVM (PARLE) SCHOOL community.

The AQMS helps keep MDVM (PARLE) SCHOOL on the path of continuous improvement, in line with our
promise to foster dynamism in order to cope with the ever changing needs of the world around us.
The management draws up a broad based policy from which emanate Quality Objectives set for each year,
and forms the basis on which the AQMS functions. The school administration and teaching faculty make the
achievement of their target for a given academic year.

The founding team at MDVM (PARLE) SCHOOL has designed processes, created guidelines for
implementation and documentation, all of which are integral to the Academic Quality System and in turn
facilitates the achievement of the Quality objectives. The school’s quality control team conducts an audit at
the end of every academic year which verifies the achievement of the objectives and helps to push future
targets both in depth and scope.
The system encompasses checks and balances in every conceivable area of a school’s function including
admissions, organizational planning, academics, communications, infrastructure and human resource
management, student welfare and routine task implementation.

Kindergarten

"I am always willing to learn, however I do not always like to be taught"

- Winston Churchill

Children are born to learn, and each child has a unique way of approaching a question. Teachers at MDVM
(PARLE) SCHOOL work with a sense of deep respect and appreciation of a child's unique abilities. The
nature and quality of learning experiences, and the quality of teacher-student interaction distinguish the
MDVM (PARLE) SCHOOL kindergarten programme.

The cornerstones of the MDVM (PARLE) SCHOOL kindergarten are:

- The curriculum is based on age-specific learning outcomes.
- Learning is child-centric. The focus is on the unique interests, abilities, learning pace and style of each
child.
- Learning is made authentic and meaningful through experiences derived from the student's interactions
with nature, people, objects and experiences.
- An understanding of the social and cultural contexts to which children belong give clues to their emotional,
cognitive and social needs, and help teachers create a truly unique multicultural learning environment.
- Sensitive, appreciative and empowered teachers.
- Active partnership between the school and parent community.

The curriculum invites children to explore their world in multiple ways. Sensory stimulation is rich and
triggers investigations into themes and topics. Curiosity and interest set the tone for questions and
discoveries. Children and teachers reflect on the meaning of each activity and explore the underlying
phenomenon together; in doing so, each child makes the experience and learning personal. The balanced
focus on social, emotional and cognitive development of the child is reflected in the rhythm set by the daily
activities.

Curricular Practices in Kindergarten

Daily activities are built in around the following practices, which set a framework for the overall
development needs of this age group:
1. Learning Centres: Maths, language, music and art are learnt through observations in nature,
construction (building blocks, clay), pretend play, reading and reuse-and-recycle centres. These offer
children a place for learning and exploring at their own pace. Teachers are also observers, as they
document the students' progress at work and play.

2. Circle Time: Skills of social interaction, listening, conversing, feeling, thinking, empathy and patience are
learnt by sharing ideas and experiences with each other. Reflection and learning happens joyfully during
circle times.

3. Reading: Appreciation of the written word starts early; first through read-aloud classes LKG. Class
libraries ensure that children are introduced to the joy of reading right from the first day of school. They learn
how to handle books, look at illustrations, create their own stories, and begin the process of learning to read.
In UKG, children continue to be encouraged in their natural curiosity in books and illustrations. They begin to
exhibit reading-like behaviour as they reconstruct familiar stories. Towards the end of K2 (UKG), the children
are able to read familiar text, labels, captions etc.

4. Science, Discovery and Explorations: Children at this age demonstrate a keen interest in exploring and
discovering the world around them. The curriculum provides rich opportunities and stimuli from the
immediate environment to encourage observation, investigation, exploration, questioning and documentation
of their learning in myriad ways.

5. Sand and Water: Sand and water are not only soothing play material, but also stimulating to the
imagination. Sand play is a major catalyst for developing concepts, constructing language, and promoting
social skills. Sand play gives children a chance to explore science concepts like wet and dry, volume,
pouring and sifting, and other cause and effect in a hands-on way. It improves fine motor skills and eye-hand
coordination. It is a great group activity.

6. Cooking, Baking and other work skills help children experience the joy of everyday tasks, while
incorporating a multitude of maths, science and language skills.

7. Gardening and working with nature plays an important role in developing sensitivity to the environment,
developing observational skills and assuming responsibility through acts of caring and nurturing.

8. Clay Work and Pottery help to develop fine motor skills and creative expression.

9. Block Play nurtures creative thinking and enables articulation of ideas.

10. Dramatic/ Symbolic Play gives the child the opportunity to explore a world of fantasy, as well as express
a view of the world as she sees it.

11. Art and Craft are integral to the way children learn and document their learning, experiences and
feelings. It is a powerful means to connect to the child's world.

12. Music and Movement: Children engage in creative dance movements; learn to play simple musical
instruments and to sing.

13. Theatre, storytelling and puppetry are used to develop the child's social, emotional and communication
skills. It is a useful tool during thematic teaching.

14. Community Connections: The curriculum facilitates regular interactions with the community. Parent
and grandparent volunteers accompany children on field trips and participate in theme activities. Field trips
to surrounding farms enable children to interact with local communities and understand their culture and
lifestyles.

15. Physical education, games, and movement: includes swings, slides, balancing beams, rope ladders,
obstacles etc. Children are guided by trained professionals to develop co-ordination, team work,
independence and confidence.

16. Physical education, games, and movement: Adventure and outdoor experiential projects are an
important part of the morning session. Children, under the guidance of trained professionals, develop motor
co-ordination, teamwork, independence and confidence.

17. Excursions and field trips help widen knowledge of the environment, besides expanding skills in
observation.

Primary School
The primary school programme builds upon the natural curiosity and inquiry that children exhibit at this age.
It is fuelled by sensorial/ experiential exploration in languages, maths and science, through nature, art,
music, dance and movement. Children consolidate and connect what they learn. They inquire and explore,
ponder and question, observe and demonstrate their learning in multiple ways.

The classrooms and bulletin boards in school reflect the energy generated at this stage by the students.
They are an explosion of ideas, creativity and pride. Each class sets its own rules for expected behaviour
and limits, guided by a broader, whole-school discipline policy. Responsibilities and expectations are clearly
defined by the students.

The fundamental practices that define the primary school education programme are listed below.
These are guided by the developmental needs of the children, and ensure all-round growth:
1. Integrated Thematic Teaching: An integrated thematic curriculum views learning and teaching in a holistic
way rather than as discrete compartmentalized subjects. It prepares children to be lifelong learners.
Learning is made authentic by giving it a meaningful context: the themes reflect the wider world.

This approach facilitates:

- A sharing of ideas, leading to a richer repository of information and ideas.
- Engagement of students in taking responsibility for their own learning.
- Multiple roles of the educator - that of a facilitator, learner, guide and mentor.
- A sense of community through collaborative student activities.
- A relevant and uninterrupted method of assessment, linked to learning experiences.

2. Experiential, inquiry-based approach in primary school

3. Curriculum based on age-specific learning goals
4. Individual Learning Plans for Special Education Needs students
5. Learning centres such as fun-with-math, pretend-and-play etc., catering to self-paced learning in primary
classes
6. Continuous assessments based on observations, projects, activities, worksheets, research and
presentations, weekly reviews

do parallel in-depth explorations of subjects - Biology, Physics and Chemistry; Algebra, Geometry and
Arithmetic; History, Civics, Geography; Language and Literature Appreciation; Art and Music; and Sports;
which often culminate into integrated projects. Assessments are not based merely on subject knowledge,
but also on researching, organizing, presentation and application skills.

The foundation of the middle-years programme is based on the following practices, guided by the
developmental needs of the students:
1. Curriculum based on guidelines set by CBSE.
2. The guidelines translated into clearly defined, age-specific outcomes
3. Experiential, inquiry-based approach, balanced by academic co-ordinator.

MDVM (PARLE) SCHOOL provides an optional bus service for students. We have 25 planned routes.

Bus Policy & Guidelines

1. Whereas we aim to always have a faculty escort on the bus, it is not always feasible.

2. Children should be ready and waiting at their stops 5 minutes before pick up time.

3. Bus routes are very tightly scheduled in order to get the children and teachers to school on time. The
buses will not wait for late comers either at the stop or at school, in the afternoon.

4. Each bus is equipped with a phone. Parents are encouraged to use this number to:

- Inform the driver or teacher if your child is not attending school, (this will save the bus waiting time).

- Check if the bus is running late (return trip). Often there is a traffic jam for as long as 15 minutes, and it is
not possible to inform every parent. Parents are welcome to call the bus.

5. Any changes in pick up/drop off venue should be cleared with the office / PTI / Transport in charge who
will inform the bus driver.

6. Bus timings/routes may periodically change to help students reach quicker/accommodate new students.
The buses cannot provide door-to-door service.

7. Students are expected to maintain proper decorum on the bus ( students should remain seated, keep
noise levels low, not stick hands or head out of the window, not be rude to people on the road, not eat junk
food on the bus, not litter the bus) failing which, penalties include up to exclusion from the bus service.
