My start of the Spring semester 2020 at Arizona State University was quite an adventure

it has its ups and downs. This was my first semester at Arizona State University and I was

going to make the biggest move of my life. In my first semester everyone advised me to

take EDT 180, I was glad I picked to start with EDT 180. I haven’t been to school for 2

years as I took a much longer break then I needed. Going back to school is never easy,

for me to start taking EDT 180 was the best option for me to get familiar with the latest

tech software applications and computer-based tasks. This semester was an amazing

experience following down tragic situations. When the semester started I have just moved

from Seattle, WA to Tempe, AZ, it was the best move I have ever done. Coming from a

rainy place I couldn’t help but just enjoy the sun here in AZ.

I learned a lot of things during this crouse. I really enjoyed the screencasting and digital

media assignments but the most one I really enjoyed was us creating our own website. Its

a dream for me to own my Car shop this course kind of showed me the dream and made

me live it. It made me build my own website from scratch uploading and editing day by

day the exact way I want it, it was an amazing experience. The most thing I enjoyed is the

impact and learning skill I got & learned from this course. This will not only let me

benefit in my time at ASU but it will also follow me into my life career. Completing the

screencasting and digital media assignment also opened up some doors for me. I was

thinking since I always like to work in my car, why can’t I start making tutorial videos

showing people how to install modifications or accessories on their vehicles. Since we

learned how to edit videos and ext I can basically start it with all the knowledge I got

from this course. That’s what I enjoy doing. Also, I enjoyed how this course really

thought me all the shortcuts of how to do tasks faster and effectively, for example, my

laptop didn’t come equipped with Microsoft word or screencast application, this course

showed me how to use google drive and how to share documents and also how to record

your own videos is very simple, for example how to back up files, organizing files and

transferring files through various storage areas. All in all we approached much new

software I wasn’t familiar with. My advisor advised me to take this course as I have been

out of school for a whole she explained how students that come back to school usually

take EDT 180 as one of their first classes to get comfortable in taking college classes

down the road. This would make things easier as I’m familiar with the programs and

software required for all course moving forward.
