Introduction
United Breweries Limited, Bangalore hereafter referred to as “UBL” has implemented SAP ECC system.
UBL is looking forward to implement a Supplier Portal Solution. This document contains a proposal for
the same.

The Business Scenarios needs to be deployed and integrated with SAP ECC 6.0. The suggested
approach in the proposal is based on MS .Net, SQL Server, SAP WebDynpro ABAP, ABAP, Workflow
and Portal technology. These technologies are suggested from a user experience perspective as well
as maturity of the technology. Following Business Scenarios needs to be implemented

Project Timelines
The detail timelines will be proposed for implementation based on next discussions. A detailed
project plan shall be developed during the project preparation phase. Overall elapsed time will be in
the range of 20 ~ 24 weeks.

Assumption

 Inowits requires a lead time of 10 days to kick start the project from the date of the acceptance
of the engagement from UBL.
 Change Management/ Business Process Change tasks that need to be done in UBL as a result
of this engagement is not in scope. This would be managed by UBL.
 System Testing Plan and the Acceptance Criteria would have to be defined jointly by UBL and
Inowits during the Conference Room Pilot Workshop.
 UBL should provide necessary authorization (VPN) and access to the systems as required by
Inowits during the engagement.
 UBL would ensure correct representation from all groups in the Due Diligence and the Blue
Printing workshops so that all requirements and concerns can be addressed correctly.

 Any change to the scope agreed at the end of the Blueprinting phase will have to be addressed
by a Change Management process and would result in a revision of estimates, timelines and
cost.
 UBL key users and project team will be available on a timely basis to participate in completion
of the Business Blueprint.
 UBL will endeavour the availability of their staff as per the project plan for this assignment. In
case of any difficulty client will inform about the non-availability of the particular person in
advance. The Steering Committee will evaluate the impact of any core team replacement on
the project schedule and cost.
 Inowits will provide training only to the core team at the implementation site, end user
training will be taken care by the core team members of UBL.
 UBL will use the software, documentation and all the other information for their own internal
purposes and will not market or make any other commercial use of the same.
 UBL and Inowits will not offer employment directly or otherwise to each other’s staff for a
period of one year from the completion of this project.
 The approach is based on the information available to Inowits and its understanding of the
requirement. Any change in the information or the perceived scope will require change to this
approach.
 Inowits shall provide consulting services as per pre-defined project plan.
 Any Software, Hardware or additional licenses that need to be purchased for this engagement
would be UBL responsibility.
 UBL will provide necessary and adequate infrastructure to Inowits Onsite staff including office
space, telephone, telex, photocopying, fax, PC resources, unlimited access to internet,
computer resources, software tools essential to the implementation of the project, to enable
Inowits to fulfil its commitment for the assignment (none of these facilities will be used for
personal work). All milestone deliverables will be deemed acceptable within a period of one
week (5 working days) from submission of deliverable in case of no response. Any other
decision / approval / signoffs will be deemed acceptable within period of 3 working days from
submission in case of no response.
 Inowits will have full rights to change the members of their project team. However Inowits
will give prior intimation to UBL and will ensure required continuity and skills profile.

Operating Principles
Inowits agrees to the spirit of the operating principles defined under scope of work and would like to
make the following observations:

Inowits follows the philosophy of Knowledge Transfer from the consulting team to the user team that
enables the user team to build adequate in-house skills that will enable them to maintain the solution.
Inowits will follow the same principles with UBL on this project.

Resource Deployment
The resource deployment has been done keeping in mind the starting and ending of different
functionality under different phases and other integration points. This is to ensure that optimal
resource is deployed on the project.

Documentation

It is expected that prior to commencement of the project, UBL team shall compile and document all
the business processes based on which the modelling and configuration of the Solution will be carried
out. This shall reduce the time frame for BPD compilation and sign-off, which is critical to the timelines
of the current project.

 Project Charter
Project charter will address Scope, Objectives and Deliverables. This document will be
delivered at end of the business blue print phase of implementation.
 Project Plan
This document will give the Time Lines, Resources, WBS as outcome of the project
preparation phase.
 Change Control
Deviation from scope would be escalated by raising Change Control document.

Team Training
Inowits recommends the suitable training programs for the UBL Customer Project Team members to
maintain the solution post go live. There could be a possibility that member from the customer can
closely work during the realization phase.

Inowits will follow train the trainers approach and provide training only to the core team at the
implementation site, end user training will be taken care by the core team members of UBL.

Post Go Live Bug Fixes


Inowits’s consulting team will provide bug fixing for the period of One month from the date of go-live
declaration.

Commercial Proposal
Inowits proposes a Fixed Price Quote. All the prices mentioned in these sections are excluding all the
applicable taxes and other expenses like travel, stay and Per-diem.

Fixed Price Cost includes Licenses and Implementation as per Scope mentioned in this document.

Annual Support for “Vendor & Buyer Portal solution” (Optional and If availed by UBL)

 20% of listed (non-negotiated or total investment) total investment.


 The product annual support has the following components:
o The warranty support for Bug Fixes
o Free service Pack Enhancements for Current Release

Stabilization Period (Optional and If availed by UBL)


UBL can optionally have this pack after go live to support any UI tweaking and enhancements for the
period of 3 Months onsite. This will be at the nominal cost of 0.9 Lac/Month.

Working Condition for Inowits Consultants

 The consultants assigned to this project by Inowits will adhere to the working days and
working hours being observed by Inowits. It is understood that the consultants may have to
work extended hours occasionally.
 If required by UBL, the consultants will submit weekly reports to the Project Manager of UBL.
 Inowits Onsite Consultants should be treated at Par with UBL; Employees during the Onsite
Assignment and during Inowits consultant stay with UBL, they should be provided with
standard working environment and all Refreshment and Canteen Facility if they are available
within the premises of UBL.
