1. General:Generalguidelinesfor6monthsindustrialtraining.
➢ TrainingmustberelatedtosomesubjecttaughtduringB.Techoritmust
berelatedtotechnical/manufacturingfunction. ➢ Knowledge aboutthe productmanufactured
by the company/type of
serviceindustrymustbeindicated. ➢
Trainingintheservicecenterofcompaniesofreputeispermittedbutnot
inshoptypeservicecentre. ➢ Student must provide some write up about the company giving
introductoryinformation(250words/onepage).Thismustbesubmittedto
guidewithinoneweekofgettingconfirmationletter. ➢
Thedurationoftrainingmustbeatleast40 hrsperweekandfour
calendarmonthsinthesemester(NormsofMDUhavetobefollowed)see (AnnexureA). ➢
Thestudentmustsubmitthefinalreportoftrainingwithin7daysof
completionof4monthstraining. ➢
Sinceallteachingisover,thestudentislikeatraineeengineerandis
readyforemployment. ➢ Listofacceptablecompaniesfortrainingasprovidedbytheconcerned
deptt./mustbecontactedforinternshipandfinallyplacement. ➢
Listofunacceptableindustriesmustbegiventothestudent. ➢
NewcompaniesintroducedmustbeapprovedbyDirector.
2.Expectationfromstudent/trainees:
➢ Everytrainee/studentmustmaintainworkdiaryindicatingdatewisework
he/shehasdone(300pageshardboundregister). ➢
Everystudenthastofollowallthedirectivesissuedtothembytheguide
ortrainingdepartmentoftheinstituteandmaintainagoodconductin
industry.Anyreportaversetotheconductwillleadtocancellationof
trainingandrepetitionofsemester. ➢ Trainee/studentsareexpected to thoroughly
understand thetechnical
aspectandpurposeoftraininganddevelopproperworkculture. ➢
Remainsparticularabouttheirwork,conduct,punctualityandregularity. ➢

Collectattendancerecordfromtheindustryfromtimetotime(from1st
/31st ofeverymonth)andshowtotheguidewithinthefirstweekof
30th
thenextmonthbye-mail(onlyscannedcopy). ➢
Followalltheinstructionforthepreparationofindustrialtrainingreport.

Ensurethattheevaluationreportwithmarksissubmittedtotraining
departmentinpdfform. ➢
Eachreportwillbeof50marksandwhileinternalmarksareawardedon
reportwillbeaverageoftworeports. ➢
ThehardcopyofreportistobesubmittedwithCDcontaining“Complete
Report”&pptinpdfform.
➢ Everystudenthastosendweeklyreportto theguidebye-mailshowing
theworkdonebyhim/herduringweekwhichmustbecheckedbythe guide and guide
must returnsto the student by reverse mailwith
comments/adviceandthenmaintainrecordofhis/herperformanceweekby
week.Guidemustreceivethereportbyweekend. ➢
Thestudentsareexpectedtomaintainpresentablepersonality/appearance
bywearingpropertypeofdresses.Nojeans,sportshirt/shoesetc.thehair
mustbeproperlytrimmedandmustheshavedappropriatelyorinaproper manner.✓

calendarmonthsduringthesemester.Thestudentmustbecomefamiliar
withworkethics,learntechnicalandmanagerialskills.Hemustlearnto
maintaincommunicationskillsanddiscipline. ➢ The trainerindustry is requested to
provide a record of student’s
attendance,hisregularityandpunctuality.Anymisconductbythestudent
mustbereportedtothetrainingdeptt.Ofinstitute.Suchstudentmustbe
sentbacktotheinstitutesummarilyforinvestigation.

attainmentofthetechnicalknowledge.Everystudentistosendatleast
15reports(onereportperweekonregularbasis).
