Size of role: (key metrics such as budget, volume, staff etc)
Critical relationships: Portfolio Manager, Project Manager, Technical Analysts, Development team
Overall job purpose: The Test Analyst is responsible for designing, developing and executing test plans and test
cases that verify a software conformance to defined acceptance criteria and feature design
documents, as well as application standards. In addition, the Test Analyst will perform quality
control activities and create and maintain a test library.

KEY RESULT AREAS


1 Efficient and effective test planning Good performance defined

JOB SPECIFICATION

Position title: TEST ANAYLST

Education: IT related Bachelor’s degree.


Technical Skills: Thorough knowledge of the principles of functional and non-functional test methods and processes;
UAT, acceptance and systems testing, both automated and manual testing; troubleshooting and
resolving performance related issues, proven track record of testing complex user interfaces.
Industry experience: 3 + years’ experience as test analyst – developing test strategies, test plans and test cases; solid
web testing experience.
Management skills: Not required.
Personal qualities: Dedication to quality and meticulous approach, attention to detail, high level analytical and problem
solving skills, demonstrated ability to investigate complex issues and make informed decisions
about them when written guidelines are not necessarily available.
Technology skills: Experience working with automated and performance testing tools.
Language skills: Fluent English.
Communication skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
