This document gives specific details regarding the course.

Course No. : MEE 413

Course Title : CAD/CAM
Instructor-in-Charge : DHEERAJ TRIPATHI

Course Description:
CAD is the use of computer systems to assist in the creation, modification, analysis, or
optimization of a design. CAD software is used to increase the productivity of the designer,
improve the quality of design, improve communications through documentation, and to
create a database for manufacturing. CAD output is often in the form of electronic files for
print, machining, or other manufacturing operations. Students learn the importance of
CAD/CAM principles in the Product development, programs related to manufacturing using
codes and analyze the importance of networking in manufacturing environment.

Scope & Objective:

1. To understand the basics of CAD/CAM and concepts of computer graphics.

2. To learn about the geometric issues concerned to the manufacturing and its related areas.
3. To understand the latest advances in the manufacturing perspectives and their applications.
