Title : Leadership Seminar organized by Alumni of IATSS FORUM Myanmar (AIM)

Place : Kha Yan Model Village High School, Tha Nup Pin Tsp, Bago Region, Myanmar

Date : 30.5.2015 (Saturday)

Participants : Mr. KyawDewa, Ms. Thuzar Thwin, Ms. Khin Chaw Su Win, Ms. Hsu Htet
Hlaing, Mr. Aung Myint Myat, Ms. Aye Myat Thu, teachers, students and respective people from village
and township (about 120 attendees)

We, AIM were going to Bago Region together with Myat lay Yone Family and Myanmar Girl
Guides. Our Journey was starting from Mr. KyawDewa Home at 6:45 AM and Ms. Chaw and Ms. Hsu
Htet came to the gathering point. Other members Ms. Thuzar, Ms. Aye Myat Thu and Mr. Aung Myint
Myat were picked up on the way of our trip.

In the morning time about 9:00 AM, we arrived at the High School of Kha Yan Model Village,
situated in Bago Region and teachers, students and well known people from the village were waiting to
treat us with Mohinga (Myanmar famous traditional food). The Ceremony started from 9:45 AM and it
went through (2) parts. The first part of the ceremony was the donation of school stationeries by Myat
Lay Yone Family and other donors. Myat Lay Yone family is the loyal donor not only for the High School
of the village but also for Kha Yan Model Village development from the times of their Grandparents till
Mr. Kyaw Dewa’s generation. At the ceremony, the Headmistress of High School and the Deputy Chief
Commissioner of Myanmar Girl Guides Association H.E Ms. Khin Saw Ohn Mar, who is the mother of Mr.
Kyaw Dewa delivered the opening address. After the donation, awards were vested to honored teachers
and students performances were followed accordingly.

Leadership Seminar was followed as the second part. At the beginning of the second part, Mr.
Kyaw Dewa introduced about IATSS Forum with Powerpoint Presentation and all the audience looked
interested. The seminar intended to motivate the audience including teachers, students and respective
people from village. During Leadership Seminar, Mr. Kyaw Dewa firstly spoke about the importance of
Leadership skill with the examples of his focal person experience in the international trips of UMFCCI.
Then, Ms. Thu Zar Thwin delivered about the leaders and Leadership handling and attracted the
audience to interact with her facilitation skills. After that Ms. Khin Chaw Su Win talked about the kinds
of Leader by encouraging the girls like “Women can also become a leader” and fulfilled her
responsibility. Furthermore, Ms. Hsu Htet shared her inspiration upon the leadership “the attitudes and
mindsets of Super Leader among several Leaders” based on her experience in IATSS forum. Moreover,
Ms. Aye Myat Thu and Mr. Aung Myint Myat talked about their wishes to contribute during and after
IATSS Forum. Finally, Mr. Kyaw Dewa and Ms. Thuzar Thwin wound up the Seminar by sharing the
information about today's opportunities for scholarships focused on IATSS forum to the audience. When
the leadership seminar was over, the headmistress delivered the thanking words for our seminar and
gave the honorable certificate to express their thanks. Our team had went around the village happily
guided by Mr. Kyaw Dewa’s family before we came back to Yangon.

Concerning this activity, we achieved the following points as follows:

 We could encourage the role of Leadership and mindset to the audience for our young generation.
 We could share the knowledge not only about IATSS forum but also about the international scholarships
for youth.
 We could fulfill our AIM’s goal, beyond IATSS forum as next step.
 We could make the team building among us and AIM is stronger than before.

To conclude, it can be said that Saturday (30.5.2015) was the fruitful day for every individual
who participated in this wonderful activity.
