ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Project title: Microbial Paraffin control in oil wells of ONGC Ankleshwar Asset(During MBA)
Synopsis: To execute 7 microbial paraffin control jobs in oil wells of ONGC Ankleshwar Asset, using PDS-10
bacterial consortium within constraints of time, cost and penalty clauses. Prevention of paraffin deposition in oil
well tubing by using microbes offers a cost effective approach and enhanced recovery of oil.

Project title: Use of SOBM in Drilling Oil Well (During MBA)

Synopsis: Use of synthetic oil based mud to overcome the problems faced during the drilling of oil well in
Ankleshwar Asset. The problem are mainly due to unstable Shales particularly while drilling at high angles like
SDMM failure, Fishing, String failure, stuck up and subsequent side tracking.

Internship training:-ONGC, Ankleshwar (GJ)

Surface team (1 month):- The project  cum internship phase contains of 1 month training in Surface team, which
involves study and practical hands and experience at Ankleshwar ( AREA I,II,III,IV)containing GGS,CPF,CTF
and producing oil wells in that area.

Drilling services (1 month) :- The project  cum internship phase contains of 1 month training in Drilling Services
which Involves Drilling tool yard services, cementing ,mud services and practical hands on working Rig in the
same area.

Project: - India’s Evolving LNG Business (MBA academic project)

The project covers the LNG value chain global LNG demand and supply, import and export of LNG, financial
aspects and contracts and prices, transportation cost, recent trends and market structure, LNG scenario in India
and challenges, LNG shipping, ONGC role in LNG business, technical aspects and liquefaction technology of
LNG in India ,city gas distribution up to end user.

Project: BIO-DIESEL production: (B.Sc. Industrial academic project.)

The project covers production of bio-diesel from jatropha plant seed and algae at industrial level and storage, handling
and transportation. Biodiesel is the alternative of the conventional, petroleum based diesel engine fuel, which is
manufactured from vegetable oils or animal fats by catalytically reacting these with a short-chain aliphatic alcohol
(methanol or ethanol), typically using a process called transesterification, or alcoholysis. The application of this process
is what is meant by biodiesel production. For vegetable oil we can use algae, jatropha plant seeds.
