Reposition to receive God’s Blessing

Many of us live with a hope to receive a favour or blessing in our lives

from God. Infact, we wait for God to intervene in our life and one day
some miracle happens and life changes completely from how we live
today to a blessed life.
It is a very important to put your hope and trust in God but Just having
a hope alone does not help us to receive the blessing of God. We all
know that God is in the business of blessing and his intent for mankind
was that each one of us will have a blessed life. Genesis 1:28 says
“God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in
number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea
and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves
on the ground.” Again, in the book of Jeremiah 29:11 God reveals
that he has plans for us to prosper and not to harm us.
Many of us may say, I am blessed. Many of us may I have the favour
of God. But we need to examine and question ourselves. Am I
truly experiencing his blessing? Blessing is not just material
wealth, but it is overall feeling of
Blessing of God involves many aspects:
1. We should know how to receive a blessing.
2. We should know, how to position to receive.
3. We should also where to position our self to receive.
God talks to us in the book of John 10:10 saying “The thief comes only
to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and
have it to the full.” In this way God revels that his idea for man kind
was all about leading a life filled with blessing, leading a life of
overcomer and being victorious in life. For minute let us examine
ourselves. Are we leading a blessed life? As per the word, are we
living in prosperity. Are we leading a life of overcoming by over coming
sickness, overcoming the financial constraints in life or even
overcoming the issues that enemy attacks us with? If we are not
experiencing his blessing, there is something we need to correct.
Even though God blesses us, it is not necessary that we receive
his blessing. God might have a plan to bless us, but our hearts might
not be tuned to receive that blessing. If we do not position ourselves
to receive the blessing, many of us will miss those blessing that God
has released it to us. For a matter of the book of Revelation 5:12 says
“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and
wisdom and strength and honour and glory and praise!” Here we see
Jesus received power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and
praise for what he did. Now if we look at the book of John 16:14-15
says “He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what
he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine.
That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make
known to you.” We as children of God are blessed to be a part of the
family of mighty God and everything that belongs to him belongs to
Jesus and what belongs to Jesus is made known to us through the Holy
Spirit God. Now carefully observe the statement. The spirit will make
it known to us. It means we will be made aware of our blessing that
we have, we will made aware of the rights we have in God, we will
made aware of the promises of God and we will be aware of the
wealth that is in store for us but it is you and me making an effort to
tap into that blessing, tap into that promise, tap into that power or
strength, wisdom and so on. But it requires right understanding of
how we need to position to tap into those things that God has revealed
to us. The biggest problem of mankind is that he does not know how
to tap into that what God has released into this world. Today it is with
wrong people and that is why the Word says in Proverbs 13:22 “A good
person leaves an inheritance for their children's children, but a sinner's
wealth is stored up for the righteous.”.

1. Setting the condition of our heart right (Includes checking our

heart – Unbelief, lack of faith, doubt, pride, jealousy): If the
heart is filled with the things of the World, it cannot see the things
of the Spirit. Why? The World controls the people with doubt,
fear, unbelief, pride, jealousy and so on. When our hearts are
filled with these, our thinking also is in the similar fashion. The
Word of God says in the book of Proverbs 23:7 “7 For as he
thinketh in his heart, so is he”. What is our heart saying about
our lives? This is the question we need to ask ourselves. If we do
not change our thinking pattern, we will always be under the
strongholds of the World’s thinking. If we are under the authority
of the World’s think, we will believe and live according to what the
World tells. That is why Paul writes in the book of Romans 12:2
saying “Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but
let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you
think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is
good and pleasing and perfect.” The Word also teaches us in the
book of Colossians 3:5-10 saying “5 Put to death, therefore,
whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality,
impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6
Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. [b] 7 You used to
walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you
must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage,
malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do not lie
to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its
practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being
renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.” All these
things hinder us from accessing into the blessing of the Lord that
was released for the mankind.
2. Studying, meditating and applying the Word of God : Joshua 1:7
“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law
my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to
the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Keep this
Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and
night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.
Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not
commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do
not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you
wherever you go.”
Here is Joshua is leading the people of Israel and now he has seen
their actions and attitude during the time of Moses. As a result, we
can see Joshua is filled with fear.

The world rules us with something called as Fear but we know that the
Word tells us 2 Timothy 1:7 saying “For God has not given us a spirit of
fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” God makes
a clear statement that we are not given the spirit of fear which means,
if we are living under fear, we are under the authority of the devil.
Because the Spirit of fear is not from God since it is from the Devil.
3. Tithing and giving:
6 “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are
not destroyed. 7 Ever since the time of your ancestors you have
turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to
me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty. “But you ask,
‘How are we to return?’ 8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob
me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and
offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you
are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that
there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord
Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven
and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to
store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the
vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says
the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for
yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.

4. Abraham’s Story:

6. Acting when you hear from God
7. Acting without Doubt and fear
