E. Basic Elements of Archipelago Insight

1. Container (Contour)
Nusantara Insight as Container (Contour) consists of 3 components:
a) Regional Representation
Indonesia archipelago is limited by the sea and land and is connected by the waters
inside. Whereas vertically Indonesia is a cone that opens upwards with the top point of the cone
at the center of the earth. The geographical position of the country is in the world position
between the two Oceans namely the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean and between two
continents namely the Continent of Australia and Asia. This geographical position greatly
influences aspects of Indonesian national life. The embodiment of the Nusantara region is united
in political, economic, social, cultural and defense unity.

b) Organizational Core Governance

For Indonesia, the core system of state organization is based on the 1945 Constitution
which concerns the form and sovereignty of the state, governmental authority, the system of
government and the system of representation. The State of Indonesia is a unitary state in the form
of the Republic. Sovereignty is in the hands of the people and implemented according to the law.
The government system adheres to a presidential system. Indonesia is a state of law not a state of
power. The House of Representatives (DPR) has a strong position that cannot be dissolved by the
President.
c) Organizational Completeness
The form of organizational completeness is political awareness and state awareness that
must be possessed by all people including political parties, groups and community organizations,
the press and all state apparatuses. All levels of society are expected to be able to realize
democracy constitutionally based on the 1945 Constitution and ideally based on the philosophy
of Pancasila, in various community, national and state activities.
