Assessment Task 1 (Worth 20%) Case-Study - Individual Task

 The main purpose of this assignment is to develop understanding of concepts, the ability to apply theory and
logic, undertake research and analysis, and communicate effectively.  You will pick a news article relevant to
chapters covered in the first three to four weeks, identify two to three key issues (as relevant to a particular topic
and chapters), think of relevant marketing theories, analyse the case-study using identified theories, and finally,
provide recommendations. You will research a minimum of 5 references, a minimum of 3 of these references
must be scholarly articles (journal articles and conference papers), remaining could be from credible online
sources. 

A suggested structure would include the following sections:


 
1.            Introduction
2.            A brief background on the case, identification of key issues, and current situation
3.            Introduction of relevant theories
4.            Application of theories to the case. If successfully applied, how and to what extent.  If not, whether the
business should have applied identified theories, and how.
5.            Recommendations for future action
6.            Conclusion
7.            References : 3 scholarly article,2 any others mandatory
