National Law University has organised a two-day National level conference on “Blockchain

Technology: Adoption, Regulation and Security” on 18 th October 2019. This conference is organised
in association with “School of IT, RGPV, Bhopal”, “Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal” and “ILTES,
Hyderabad”.

The aim of this conference is to promote learning in the integrated field of Blockchain Technology,
Cybersecurity and the Law.

The Honerable guest of this conference were Prof (Dr) V.Vijaykumar (Vice Chancellor, NLIU Bhopal),
Professor M.K Bhandari (CEO ILTES Hyderabad), Prof. Anoop Swaroop (Vice Chancellor JLU), Prof (Dr)
Atul Kumar Pandey, Prof. Nidhi Dubey (Former Vice chancellor Barkatullah University).

The conference began with the lightning of lamp to worship God Saraswati.

Prof. M.K Bhandari gave an expert lecture on the Blockchain technology in which he discussed that
how important it is for the young generation to learn about the new technologies and its security
aspect. He provided the delegates with the insightful knowledge about the Blockchain technology
and how it would change the world when dealing with privacy and security of the information.

Prof. Anoop Swaroop discussed the various advantages of blockchain technology and its future in
the technological era.

Dr. Hari Krishna Maram (Vice Chancellor- Vision Digital University, Bengaluru) highlight that the
global economy is moving towards co-creation. He also state that the combination of technology and
liberated thinking will serve a greater purpose for the leading economy. He points out that in today’s
era Data is the new currency in which the economy of a country runs.

Dr. Rajiv Khare (Dean PG, NLIU Bhopal) states that the law and legal professional should cope up
with the emerging technologies.

Apart from the experts, students and scholars from all over India have participated and presented
their research papers based on the Blockchain technology. Different aspect of Blockchain technology
were discussed in four sessions namely:

1. Blockchain Technology and Privacy

2. Blockchain Technology and Regulatory Framework

3. Role of Blockchain Technology and Cybersecurity

4. Role of Blockchain Technology in Intellectual Property

Different research topics like Role of Blockchain Technology in Cyber security, how Blockchain can
revolutionized the protection of Intellectual Property Rights, Legality of Cryptocurrency, Application
of Blockchain technology and many more were discussed in which both students and experts share
their knowledge in a healthy interactive environment.

This initiative of NLIU Bhopal is praised by the experts presen as it was one of a kind conference held
which integrate the Blockchain technology with law. In near future, NLIU Bhopal is planning to hold
more such conferences in order accumulate to the present knowledge pool on how the law could be
integrated with the technology.
