Oracle Database Editions Supported on ODA (X6-2 S/M)

• Standard Edition 2 – 11.2.0.4, 12.1.0.2


• Enterprise Edition – 11.2.0.4, 12.1.0.2
• Database Classes & Options (OLTP, DSS, IMDB) only supported on EE. SE2 comes with
OLTP only.
• You can only choose one edition – SE2 or EE (no way to change it after provisioning).

ODA Lite Capacity-On-Demand Licensing (Core Key Management)
• System ships with all cores enabled.
• Set the cores in multiples of 2.
– 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 For ODA Lite Small.
– 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16,18, 20 For ODA Lite Medium.

# /opt/oracle/oak/bin/configure-cpucore -cores <NumberOfCores>

– A reboot is required after changing the number of cores.


– No need to generate core keys in MOS. (Customer trust based model)
– A one-time reduction in cores is allowed.
