To Whom it May Concern;

I am writing to highly recommend Natalie Henkel for your teaching

position. I’ve worked with Natalie this past year as a colleague and
friend on our first grade team. This was Natalie’s official first year
as a classroom teacher, though she’s succeeded at numerous long-
term subbing engagements.

Natalie thrived in her classroom this year and was a valuable resource
and ally for me. She is highly organized, positive, cares deeply about her
students, efficient, and hard-working. Natalie is very competent and
easily took the load of new curricula under her belt. I enjoyed
debriefing with her each day, collaborating on how to help students in
our classes learn and understand new material. Natalie is always
looking for ways to reach her class and implements ideas from others
readily. She also contributes much to team planning meetings. She asks
informed questions and has many ideas on how to keep us moving
forward. She has leadership qualities beyond her years of experience,
accomplishes everything asked of her and more, and always keeps the
needs of her students at the forefront. When students have
struggled with sight words or reading, Natalie has searched for
resources to help them. She’s sent home flashcards, set up online
game accounts, and printed extra books to give them more practice.
She’s communicated with parents about how to enhance learning at
home and has sought out advice from school specialists. Natalie has
acclimated to our school easily, and has built good relationships with
our colleagues. She’s friendly and positive, and works well with the
teaching and paraprofessional staff. Natalie has been an asset to our
team and a blessing to her students!

I’ve enjoyed getting to know Natalie this year and was looking forward
to teaming up with her in the future! It will be a loss to our school for
her to move away, but I know students in your district will benefit
from her skills, heart, and determination. If I can expand on Natalie’s
personality or skills, please contact me and I will be happy to sing her
praises further!
