Experiment No: 2

Aim: To design an app that can teach mathematics to children of 4-5 years age in school in
Rural/Urban sector.
Theory:
1. Client Analysis:
 Children are attracted to colourful backgrounds. Their eyes seek creative designs
and they love cartoons and animated objects. They try to map themselves in
animated world.
 Children in age group 4-5 need to be acquainted with numbers and some basic
mathematical operators like addition and subtraction.
 In Schools, they are taught to count numbers by repeating after teachers. Some
time, they just repeat whatever they hear rather than understanding the
pronunciation or what it really means. But if they are taught by showing pictures,
then they catch up with the concepts very quickly.
 The apps are arranged in a systematic way that it becomes possible for students to
go with the flow without even realizing. With some apps, you can track your
children’s progress which is one of the important things that every parent wants to
know. Along with the progress, you can visualize how each app is helping your
children to improve their skills such as reading, math and much more.
 Children tend to pick up any skill very quickly. Handling gadgets like tablets,
Mobile phones come to them naturally.

2. Existing apps/sites:

1) Learn Numbers
123 learning numbers is a fun way for counting numbers for nursery kids learn from 1
to 9. It’s not up to learn numbers for kids 1 to 100 because such numbers are
appropriate as learning apps for kids of older ages. Numbers for Toddlers and Kids is
one of our educational games for kids whose parents are interested in early education
of their babies in the field of maths, especially in baby numbers and counting.

2) Learn Shapes for Kids

Shapes is one of our educational games for toddlers in which your child can learn

geometric shapes and compare shapes for babies with the surrounding objects in real
life.

 3) ABCD for Kids
Learn Alphabet is one of our best educational games for kids which provides learning
alphabet for kids and tracing letters in a playful manner so that pre-schoolers learn the
letter sounds quickly, easily and with a lot of fun.

3. Your choice of screen elements:

Children love cartoon and animation. So, the characters are animated instead of keeping
them stationary. Kids believe in magic. Theme of app is based on famous cartoons
watched by children. Kids would love watching their favourite cartoons and learning at the
same time!

4. How will your app be better than the ones existing?

This app introduces characters to the child, making the child feel the presence of someone
being involved in his/her process of learning.
This app stimulates real life scenario like jerry enjoying cheese, etc. which helps the child
feeling glad by helping the on screen creatures.

Conclusion:
This app demonstrates how learning apps for kids would help them in learning all their
concepts in an interesting and easy manner. The app is developed in a systematic way that it
becomes possible for students to go with the flow without even realizing. Theme of app is
based on famous cartoons watched by children. Kids would love watching their favourite
cartoons and learning at the same time.
