At the very outset , I would like to thanks to my family whom I owe a much.

I am really grateful to MR Abhisheak, COO of Binbill company for his


guidance to undertake this Project and enabling me to turn my dream to
reality.

EXCUTIVE SUMMARY

The main objective of summer training was given by the Binbill. The
objective was “Brand Promotion”.

Binbill is a Gurgaon based E-Commerce start-up founded in march , 2017


part of the 500 billion Dollar Indian retail sector with nearly 97% of
untapped offline segment. Achieved over 50,000 App downloads & a wide
network of Partner retail stores within a short span.

Binbill aim is to make the Grocery shopping process simple, seamless, quick
and rewarding for the users.

Binbill has been connected to more than 50 stores. The objective of Binbill
is to make offline grocery stores online through Binbill partner app so that
the customer can order online from home and can get the goods they need in
45 minutes.

Binbill have two application, one is Binbill partner which is for stores and
other is for customer through this app they can order online.

I started my summer internship on 10th june. And during summer internship I


had to report at the organization at sharp 11:00 am and was asked to work
till 7:00 pm. The first week was my training where I explained everything
about the app how to add inventory how to change the price of inventory and
how to invite the customer, how to connect the customer to store and how to
convience the customer for order. After the training was over, I was placed
under Parveen, who is a cluster manager, who gave me a location everyday
that I had to go to, but sometime I had to go different shops everyday and
sometimes I had to stay at the same shops.

First, the store owner had to tell them everything about the app so that they
could handle everything themselves. I had told them how to add inventory
and how to invite customer and connected and how to receive orders.

After that the customer who visiting the store had to tell about the app, first
they had to invite, then later they had to connect and persuade them to order.

We had to do all this everyday and we had to report daily in the evening how
many customer were invited, how many were connected and how many
orders done .

The experience that I have gathered over past 2 months has certainly provide
me with an orientations, which I believe, will help me and shoulder any
assignment successfully in future.

retail stores within a short span.

Company are building an Ecosystem with the user, Brand and Seller. While
we are certainly no Elon Musk or Steve jobs, company firmly believe that
certain solutions cannot be imported and need to be highly customized for
our country. Binbill are set out to making the consumers life simpler by
helping the consumer with his or life struggles ranging from buying daily
grocery to even managing their appliances. Company aim is to make the
grocery shopping process simple, seamless, quick and rewarding for the
users.

Through our app you can order your grocery from your Neighborhood stores
on Binbill app and you will get anything delivered to your doorstep in 45
minutes.
THE PROBLEM OR OPPORTUNITY:-

The first problem is that the company is a startup. A startup company have
lot of problems in front of it. People do not much about the startup.

The second problem is that there are a lot of competitors in the market such
as the Grofers, big basket, Reliance smart etc. All this is in the market from
many years and they have covered a very large market, so people know
more about them because Binbill is a startup so people don’t know much
about it. So capturing the all market is a big problem for the company.

The company has a lot of opportunities along with the problems. The first
opportunities is that nowadays everything is happenings online. So company
has a good chance that it can easily capture the whole market. India is a huge
market, there are many grocery stores in India that are currently offline , so
that the company has the opportunity to connect those store to the company
as soon as possible and provide them an online platform.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:-

Purpose:-

The basic purpose of this research is what was the response of the customer
when they came to know about the app and what was the response after
using the app.

Problem:-

The main problem was that the company is a startup, so customer were not
aware of the brand. They were not very aware. They knew more about others
online grocery app like bigbasket, Grofers etc. The company’s market share
is also very low compared to other brands.

Objectives:-

The objectives of the study are as follows:-

 The main objective is that which factors were affected customers


when they used the app.
 The second main objective was to find out about the policies of the
others brands and how they captured the market.

Sampling frame:-

A sampling frame consists of a list of item from which the sample is to be


drawn. The sample frame for this research constitutes the customers, who
came to the store.

Sample size:-

The sample size of the research was many customers.

Location - Gurgaon , Manesar.

 In this report finds what the problems occurs during the internship.

FINDINGS&SOLUTIONS:-

I found that customers are not as aware about binbill as they are about
others brand .

when I was told to the customers about the app, some customers
downloaded the app immediately, but some customers did not download
the app, as they do not believe in online shopping. They believed that
offline shopping is better than online shopping.

I found that customers are happy after using the app.

My suggestion to the company is that the company does not have much
market share right now, if the company advertises maximum, it will let
people know about the company.

When customers used the app, they faced many problems related the
application, so company should simplify the app so that the customers can
operate it easily. And try to minimize the size of the app.

With the help of posters, the company can attract the attention of the
customers , so the company should put up more and more posters on the
stores.
BENEFITS TO THE COMPANY:-

Through this report, the company will benefit that they will know when we
told the customers about the app, what is their reaction at the time and what
are the things that they attracted customers to the application after listening.

And they will know what problem are occur when customers use the app,
when they come to know about these problems, then they can overcome
them.

Another things they will get to know about customer thinking, this will
benefit them that they can decide their marketing strategic according to the
customers an can capture the market quickly and remove the all problems.

2. Need for the study

Today customers are facing a growing range of choice in the different


brands of product and service. They are making their choice on the basic of
their perception of brand, quality service and value.

The company has to adopted strategic to keep brands in customers


memory. A brand promotion is a main part of a company. Brand awareness
is assets which brand manager create and enhance to build brand equity. It is
related to the nature and feature of product. Its leads to brand strength which
is constituted by measuring the variable like leadership, stability, market,
trend etc.

In today competitive business scenario where every companies product is


competing with each other. So in todays brand promotion is very important
for every company.

Through this report the, the company will know customers behavior in the
market. And how they attracted toward the brands. And know which brand
they like the most and why.
3. Importance of study

The 2 months summer training is very important for a student of MBA. This
type of study gives some practical knowledge to MBA student and practical
knowledge is more useful than theoretical knowledge for everyone.

There is no certain formula for any particular problem but the aim of the
study is to develop the ability of decision making. Right decision at right
time itself helps an organization to run smoothly.

The training in any organization gives us an idea of different marketing


activities aspect and also it is seen how business is taken tactfully when any
problems comes to an executives. The way of problem solving right decision
making and knowledge of different types of marketing activities gives much
importance in this study. Though only in 2 months it was not possible in
understand it so deeply but an overall ideas would be developed.
4. Customers Behavior

 It is defined as all psychological, social and physical behavior of


potential customers as they become aware , evaluate, purchase,
consume and tell to other about product and services.
 Buying behavior involves both individual and group process.
 Buying behavior includes communication , purchasing and
consumption behavior
 Consumer behavior is basically social in nature hence the social
factor play important roles in shaping buying behavior

“ Hence consumer behavior is an orderly process whereby the consumer


interacts with the environment for making a purchase decision on product

Consumer decision making process:-

 Stimuli- need, reasons, influences, gathering information


 Information processing- process, analyze information about the
product
 Decision making - on the basis of analysis, decision to go for
 Response – response to buy without any prejudice

Consumer behavior can be said to be the study of how individual make


decision on how to spend their available resources (time, money effort) on
various consumption related items.
Factor influencing behavior:-

 Cognitive thinking process – perception, attitudes, needs , motive
 Environmental factor
 Social class – society
 Culture factors

5. what tricks are used for brand promotion

In the internship , I had to go to the stores and I had to convince the


customers who came to the stores to buy the same , tell them about the app
and get them downloaded.

During the internship , I used many tricks to attract the customers. Like I
used to invite those who did not come on the stores and ordered from the
phone. And those goods who go for home delivery gave them binbill
pamphlets with them so that those customers also get to know about binbill
application. And place posters of binbill inside and outside the stores so that
more and more customers can get to know about the binbill. Similarly, I
used many tricks so that I can attract more and more customers.
6. Customers satisfaction

All business firms have realized that marketing is a core elements of


management philosophy & the key to its success lies in focising more &
more on the customers. That is, it will be the customers who will decide
where the firms is heading. Thus the challenge before the marketer is to
ensure that they should satisfy every customer.

Satisfaction is an important element in the evaluating stage. Satisfaction


refers to the buyers state of being adequately rewarded in a buying situation
for the sacrifices he has made one the customer purchase & use the product
they may then become either satisfy or dissatisfied.

The result of satisfaction to customer from the purchase of the product or


service is that more favourable post purchase attitude, higher purchase
intention & brand loyalty to be exhibited that the same behavior is likely to
be exhibited in a similar purchasing situation. The term consumer is a
typically used to refer to someone who regularly purchase from a particular
store or company.

Today the firm aim to give satisfaction to the customer through marketing
concept. The firm try to help the buyers in the solving the problem then
competitors. The marketer must see that consumer with purchasing power
constitute a potentials buyer are identified . it is essential for the marketers to
carry out the business in such a way that they give satisfaction to consumer
needed. When a firm markets a product or service it should aim to enjoy
consumer satisfaction & profit maximization.
INTERNSHIP OBJECTIVE

My main objective of doing internship was to increase the knowledge in


marketing and sales and to learn how to work in the company. My main
objective of doing internship was to increase my skills and to complete the
company targets together.

Today customer are facing a growing range of choice in the different brands
of products and services. They are making their choice of their perception of
brand, quality and service.

So, main objective was how to promote the brand and attract the customer
towards the brand. Customers had to convey all the characteristic about the
brand and tell the customers what would be benefit of this brand so that the
customer could be attracted towards the brand.

During this internship , I learned how to attract customers and what are the
things that attract customers to the brand and what their thinking about any
brand.
WEEKLY OVERVIEW OF INTERNSHIP ACTIVITIES

First week:-

This was the first week of our internship. I was trained this week. In this
training my seniors told me everything about the binbill application an all
the features of the app. And how to talk to the customer and attract them
towards the app.

Second week:-

My training was over so I was given to a different store where I had to work
alone. My timing was 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. This week I learned to run the
app well. Every day I had to go different stores.

Third week:-

In this week too, I had to work in different stores. All the inventory of stores
had to be added in the app and those customer came to the stores had to tell
them about the app. And the customer had to send an invite and then connect
and place an order.

Fourth week:-

I also worked at stores during this week. And I told customer about the
binbill app those customers visit at the store. And customers had to explain
all the features of the app. And had to download the application.

Fifth week:-

I had to go to the same store this week. But this week I had to get more &
more apps downloaded and more & more ordered. Binbill is a startup
company, so people were not aware of the app, so it was even more difficult
to get them to download and order.

Sixth week:-

Even this week I had to work at the stores. Order numbers were gradually
increasing during this week. Because those customer who came to the store
told them all about the app and used to download the app.

Seventh week:-

During this week, more and more orders had to be made and more and more
customers had to connect to the stores.

Eight week:-

Orders were easily done this week the customers came to know about the
app and were ordering from their home, making the stores owner very
happy.

Ninth week:-

this was our last week of internship. In this week also we had to pay
attention to the order and tell the store owner everything about the app so
that they can handle everything themselves.
