Introduction
Learners with Special Education Needs (LSEN) refer to the children who

have a disability or a combination of disabilities that makes learning or other

activities difficult for them. Special-needs children include those who have:

Mental Retardation, which causes them to develop more slowly than other

children and Speech and Language Impairment, whom the children have

problems in expressing themselves or understanding others. On the other

hand, we have also Physical Disability, such as vision problems, cerebral palsy,

or other conditions.

Inclusive education means that to all students attended and welcomed

by their neighborhood schools wherein they can sit in regular classes and were

expected to learn, to contribute and to participate in all aspects of learning just

like the normal kids in school (Inclusive Education Canada, 2019). As stated by

Pa-a, Saul (2018) Special Education Program, provides holistic approach in

order to cater the needs of special children with visual impairment; hearing

impairment; intellectual disability; autism spectrum disorder; communication

disorder; physical disability; emotional and behavioral disorder; also

orthopedically handicapped, chronically ill, and gifted/talented children.

The study focused on the disability of the child and the situation wherein

the child was into. It aims to address the needs of the child and for her to be

able to socialize to other children and participate in school without any

reluctance.

Data Gathering Procedure

The researcher administered the student’s profile or respondent’s profile

after asking permission from the parents of the child.

In gathering the data of the study, the following phases were taken:

The first phase is asking questions to the teacher. The researcher will

ask permission and approval to the teacher if she is willing to take part in the

study.

1. How many years you’ve been teaching here in Bayugan Central

Elementary School as SPED teacher?

2. What are your strategies in dealing with your students’ knowing that

they need special treatment?

3. What are those difficulties you’ve encountered during teaching?

The second phase is asking questions to the mother of the child and asks

permission and approval if she is willing to take part of the study.

1. Personal information of the child

2. How did you take good care of your daughter inside the house?

3. What are the difficulties you’ve encountered in taking care of your

daughter?

The third phase is the filling up the profile of the respondent. The profile

is more about her name, gender, and place where they live in.
The last phase is the interpretation and analysis of data. The data and

results that will be gathered from the individual interview will be analyzed and

discussed.
General Observations of the Child

As the researcher observed the child during class hours, they found out

that the child was able to write, to read using sign language, and can solve

math problems as well. On the other hand, the child can socialize with other

children too just like normal kids outside.

The researcher also found out that the child can operate computer,

cellphones and other gadgets too. Furthermore, the child can do some

household chores, just like washing plates, cleaning her room, arranging her

clothes, sweeping the floor and etc. Despite the disability, she was able to do

something good about herself.

Case Study Analysis

Analysis of data will base on the research questions. This study will survey

through an individual interview with the parent and teacher. Moreover, in this phase

of the research will start when the respondents had already answered the questions

that will be given by the researcher.

Before conducting the interview, the researcher will meet the respondents and

will explain to them the purpose of the interview. The researcher will record and take

down notes so that they will get the important points.

The answers during the interview are recorded and transcribed thoroughly.

Summary, Conclusion and Recommendation

Children with disability, needs special care, treatment and patience.

Furthermore, families caring for children with disability need their own

support. Among the services for families there are: community

supports, financial supports, advanced directives for future care, respite and

emergency services, family education and support groups, and advocacy and

legal supports.

In conclusion, children with disabilities can live meaningful, satisfying,

and productive lives, within their own communities, when provided adequate

supports. We salute the courage and dedication of families and other advocates

who have tirelessly worked to improve the lives of these deserving citizens.

Based on the findings and conclusions presented, the following

recommendations suggested; the school must carry out an activity that caters

the needs of special children. It can somehow boost their self-esteem and

confidence.
