HEALTH SERVICES AVAILABLE TO THE STUDENTS/TRAINEES

A. All incoming first year college students as well as transferees will undergo physical and
dental check-up during the enrolment period. This will be administered by the School
Nurse, School Dentist and School Physician with the aid of selected Paramedical
students.

B. Students with certain physical ailments shall given due treatments depending on the
degree of gravity of the sickness. For severe cases, the school physician, with the
consent of the parents shall refer the student to a specialist for proper medical attention.
For those with dental problems, the school dentist shall set a schedule when the
students may visit again his clinic anytime within the semester

C. The school clinic shall be open every day from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. A nurse aide or
student-trainee shall be designated to assist the school nurse. The school’s first aid kit
must always contain the necessary medicines and the clinic should be furnished with
necessary equipment for medical purposes. Over the counter medicines must be found
in the medicines cabinet for quick relief of minor health problems.

D. The school’s Health Team is obliged to lay down schemes of health programs to all
students. Symposia, Seminars and various Information Drives shall be conducted to all
as a form of health advocacy to everybody.

E. During off-campus exposures (one-day practicum, educational tour or the like), the
school nurse should assign a member of his staff to accompany the students so that
proper medical attention shall be given in times of emergencies. To facilitate this, the
department head must formally inform the school nurse regarding such off-campus
activity.

F. To assure that the students shall be given immediate and proper medical services in
times of emergencies or minor health problems. A Philippine National Red Cross
(PNRC) membership fee in the amount of P 35.00 shall be collected from each student
every year as a form of health insurance. All registered members are entitled to receive
the membership card the soonest possible time to avoid hassles in claiming medical
benefits.

G. Students who will undergo practicum or on-the-job training can be compelled to pay
other insurance fee aside from the Red Cross. However it shall be the department head
to facilitate such thing.
