To Whom It May Concern:

I take great pleasure in writing this letter of recommendation for Kimberly Davis concerning
attainment of a secondary teaching position. I have known Ms. Davis for several years at the
University of Arkansas. I also serve as Ms. Davis’ academic faculty advisor. Ms. Davis has proven
herself to be a dedicated student and outstanding professional. Ms. Davis holds herself to high
standards regarding academics as well as character. She exudes responsibility and positivity in the
classroom, and easily collaborates with colleagues.

Ms. Davis has been a dedicated and reliable intern at Woodland Junior High School and attends all
faculty meetings as well as other professional development activities. Ms. Davis is a dedicated teacher
who cares about her students and encourages them to do their best. She has great rapport with her
students and a high level of mutual respect is at the core of her classroom environment. Ms. Davis is a
passionate, driven person who I believe will do a fantastic job as a classroom teacher.

Ms. Davis sets herself apart from other interns by her creativity and always finding ways to engage
students. She was recently featured in the Fayetteville Public School’s CTE newsletter section
highlighting her Martin Luther King display that she created. She seeks ways to challenge her students
and herself. I have been extremely impressed with her dedication since the day I met her. Two years
ago the career and technical education program offered the first “Teaching Computer Programming in
the Secondary School” of which Ms. Davis enrolled. This first year of offering this course was quite a
challenge to the students enrolled. Half the class withdrew from the course. Ms. Davis never missed a
class meeting and arrived early each week to prepare. She impressed the instructor of the course as
extremely committed to what she desires to accomplish. Her resume reveals a broad array of
experiences, some of which I was not aware of. For example, while interning she is also volunteering
with the Woodland Volleyball team.

Please give Kimberly Davis your highest consideration for a teaching position. If I can be of further
assistance please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

To Whom it May Concern,

I have known and witnessed Kimi Davis in a number of coaching capacities over the
last few years; and it is a honor to recommend her for a position at your school.
During that time, she has proven herself to be a competent coaching professional
who provides structure in practice, warmth in relationships, and a deep knowledge
and passion for the game of volleyball. She encourages athletes to work hard and
motivates them to do their best.

During the 2019-2020 club volleyball season, my son has played for a team Kimi
coaches. As a parent, I have been impressed with Kimi’s organization, relationship
with the players, and the general professionalism in which she conducts herself and
represents Ozark Juniors. My son would say that she is nice and funny, but strict
when she needs to be. Relationships and structure are two vital components to a
successful coaching career and Kimi has displayed those consistently.

Last summer, Kimi worked a Nike summer camp at Arkansas Athletes Outreach that
I serve as a director for. I was impressed with how quickly Kimi was able to develop
relationships with young athletes. They are drawn to her. In addition, she has a deep
knowledge of the game. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and have no doubt that
she will be a great addition to whatever district hires her!

I have greatly enjoyed watching Kimi grow from player to coach. She is the total
package of professionalism and warmth and I have no doubt she will make a huge
impact in the coaching ranks.

Sincerely and respectfully,

Jessica Phelan

Reference for Kimberly Davis

I am writing this reference at the request of Kimberly Davis who is applying for a Business and Marketing
teaching position at your school.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Kimberly for the past semesters in my position as a
Business/Marketing teacher. Kimberly always arrived professionally dressed with a pleasant
disposition that students responded to in a positive manner.

During Kimberly’s internship, she frequently put in long hours to develop lesson plans and monitor
student progress.

Kimberly has several strengths to offer as an educator but a main strength, from my observations, is
her ability to motivate students. She always displayed genuine enthusiasm for assisting with activities
regardless of the task. She is very efficient at seeing a job completed from start to finish. Her smile
and kind attitude immediately set her apart as an accepted member of the class that the students
enjoyed interacting with daily. She presented new material in a way that captured their attention.
She is intelligent, capable, dedicated, and personable. She has sensible reactions in all the
circumstances I have witnessed. I feel confident in saying that he is capable of handling any situation
with thoughtfulness and maturity.

Kimberly has gained collaborative experience with other teachers, administrators, students, and
parents. She has an excellent rapport with people of all ages. Her communication skills, both written
and verbal are excellent.

If you need any further information concerning Kimberly’s qualifications, please feel free to contact me
at (479) 444-3067 or bobbie.nash@g.fayar.net
