STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK NEXT WEEK MAY 4TH -8TH

Families and Students please help us celebrate our teachers during Staff Appreciation Week!

Monday: Send an email message to your teacher and specialist of kindness.

Tuesday: Take a picture of you doing something and send it to your teacher(s).

Wednesday: Send an email message to your teacher about the type of treat or lunch you’d get them if we
were at school.

Thursday: Make a drawing for your teacher, take a picture, and send it to them.

Friday: Send them a message about the perfect vacation you would send them on if you could.

Closing Out Our Year News: We have not been given dates yet as to when we can begin packing up student desk
items and scheduling pickups. Here is somethings we do know at this time:
1. Teachers, fully gloved, will pack up and bag all student classroom and desk items, label them, and a time
will be given for pick up.
2. All students will be keeping the Chromebooks over the summer to continue with software online learning
activities. Chromebooks will be returned in August at the start of our year and 5th grade students will return
our Chromebooks to their middle schools in August.
3. When you come to pick up your student’s belongings, you will drop off library books in a book box which
will be at the pickup area.
4. Report cards will be posted on May 20th in Infinite Campus and mailed to you by the end of the month.
5. Your class placements, supply lists, and other information will be mailed to you by the middle of June.
6. Honor Roll Certificates will be handed out at the beginning of the year in August for the final semester,
including AR medals.

Student Medications: Families, if your child has a medication at school we will be sending out a date for pick up
next week. I will send out a parentlink by end the of this week.

Teacher News (final posting): Teachers are required to contact students/parents at least once a week. We do this through
email, text, Class Dojo, Parentlink, and Google Classroom. Some of our teachers have been making phone calls as well to
check in with our families. Teachers are required to take attendance ONCE a week; this is in the form of that teacher-
student/parent contact, through Class Dojo, Google form, through teacher’s online google meets lessons, and even if your
student submits an activity page to their teacher – that would count as their attendance. If teachers are not able to get in touch
with their students or families or if no work is turned in then the teacher would note that in Infinite Campus within the teacher
contact log as an absence.

Online Registration is open for all current CCSD students! Parents

please register your child(ren). Go to your Infinite Campus for each
child, click on “more” at the bottom, then click on 2020-2021
registration for parents only OR go to the CCSD webpage and click in
the blue box on main page for 2020-2021 school year. You must update
each year, it takes less than 10 minutes, and you must complete al the
boxes for EACH child’s school form (code of conduct, acceptable use,
etc).
The pictures/sharing information form is “tricky” because it switches the accept/decline, so
please read what the statement is asking. All students must have an Acceptable Use form
completed in order to access any computer in our school.

Signing into the Chromebooks: Families, every student in CCSD has a google email account and password. This
is not gmail, it ends with nv.ccsd.net and their password is supposed to be their birthdate. All classroom teachers
have their students’ emails. Here are some steps to help your child get going using their chromebooks. Have their
ccsd email and password ready along with your household wifi and password.

1. At the bottom left side of the screen after you turn it on, their will be a bubble that
says, “add person” click it.
2. You will need to re-enter your household’s wifi and password.
3. Then you will enter the first part of your child’s CCSD email (the nv.ccsd.net is already
there for you).
4. Then enter their password.
5. The programs (like prodigy, reflex, lexia, google) are all web-based, so there won’t
necessarily be icons on the home screen for them.
If you do not have the student school email account, you will need to get the account from your student’s teacher.
If you need to reset the password for the account you can on this link https://myaccount.ccsd.net Once chromebooks
are returned to DMC, they will all be “wiped” of previous users and wifis. If you still are having issues with getting
the students on, please email me and I will get your questions/needs to the correct person.

Third Grade Parents: If you paid for your student’s “Wet n Wild” field trip which was going to be taken prior to closure,
there are two options for reimbursement:

1. You can elect to get reimbursed for your field trip fee paid to school and when we return we can give you a school
check. (if we do not return a check will be mailed to you in June).
2. You can elect to have the field trip fee you paid put into the 4th grade account to be used for your student’s class in the
2020-2021 school year.

Please send an email to Mrs. Janosik (janoss@nv.ccsd.net) as to what you would like to do with your field trip fee. She will
maintain a record of your choice.
