are some real world applications for understanding genetics and inheritance? Include at least one
credible source in your answer along with a citation in MLA format. You must make your post
by the due date for initial posts and respond to 2 other posts by your classmates by the due date
for replies.
Student answers will vary, but some appropriate choices include agriculture, genetic testing, and
genetic diseases.

Introduction:
Throughout this course, we have learned how different factors (biotic and abiotic) can have an
effect on organisms.
For this lab, you and your lab group will design your own experiment on how environmental
conditions affect the growth of radish plants. You will choose one environmental condition to
test on 4 planter pots of radish seeds. Plants will be kept in the classroom and it is your
responsibility to care for them and record data during the first 10 minutes of class.
At the end of 3 weeks, you and your lab group will submit individual and separate lab reports
with the following sections:
• Title and Introduction
• Materials
• Procedure
• Results
• Conclusion
You must turn in your rough draft of your report (with peer edits) with your final draft. I
encourage you to collaborate with your group for the lab report, but your submission should
reflect independent thought.
