MARKET WRAP
CHANA
Steep decline in Australia chick pea production has delayed the shipments
thereby supporting Chana prices at the domestic market. Chana is close
substitute of Chickpea and prices are interdependent.
Prospects of higher production from reportedly satisfactory sowing activities in
growing states could prevent a major uptrend in rates.

TURMERIC
Prices in short term will depend on demand from the domestic and overseas
buyers and growth of sown crop.
Unseasonal rains in the growing areas will delay harvesting of turmeric due in
the month of January.

JEERA
Demand from US and European countries likely to shift more towards India in
coming weeks due to low stocks in the International markets.
Short term trend would depend on the sowing prospects depending on the
weather in growing areas.

PEPPER
Tight supply position amid strong demand in the global market is likely to lead
to strong buying interest in pepper and the prices are likely to remain firm.
Traders are waiting for some more dips in short term but with demand
expected to rise at lower levels, which could support prices to some extent.
