MENUS IN LEVEL I
MENU ( "i - hours")
Information about operating hours for various components and
movements
The Information screens 1 to 3 (Fig. 5 to Fig. 7) shows an overview about
operating hours for various components, functional flows and operating
modes.
Fig. 7
The screen (Fig. 8) gives information about the machine type and serial
number and about the software version actually mounted to the machine.
The two indications behind " Nom" are for the rated RPM and for the number
of teeth of the flywheel of the Diesel engine. These both indications are
determined by the position of a coding bridge on the print plate U16 (BST
regulator).
The line "volt" provides indication for the momentaneous operating voltage.
The last line provides the operating hours for electrical inputs (not used).
Fig. 8
This screen gives information about the operating position of the hydraulic
pumps.
The screen 1/6 indicates for each pump if a flow and pressure limitation is
activated, and its percentage. The screen shows for this limitation a graphic
bar with electric current value and indicates for the pump the amount of the
momentary flow control signal.
Fig. 9 On Fig. 9, an external limitation (Hardware entry I1, option 2) is activated.
With this option, the pump flow and operating pressure are limited to 55% of
the maximal value. In case of an external activation of limitation, the symbol
"R" is displayed in the field TI, see main screen.
On Fig. 10, two internal limitations (Pressure cut in stage boom and
translation M1) are simultaneously activated with the external limitation
(Hardware entry I1, option1). With simultaneously activation of several
limitations, the one with the smallest value is decisive for the hydraulic
pump. In that case, the symbol "R" is displayed in the field TI.
In case of only one activation of limitation, the symbol "R" turns into " ".
Notice :
For R 904 to R924 machines, the signal of regulation solenoid valve
EV1 limits both pumps.
For R 934 to R974 machines, every pump can independently being
Fig. 10 limited true regulation solenoid valves EV1 and EV2.
For R 984 machines, every pump can independently being limited true
regulation solenoid valves EV1, EV2, and EV3.
For every machine, the operating pressure is limited true regulation
solenoid valve EV6.
The internal flow limitation M1 is active during the translation.
The internal flow limitation M2 is active by use of pressure cut in stage
boom on keyboard.
The internal flow limitation M3 is active while the flap is operated.
The internal limitation SF, by SF-button switched on.
The display 2/6 (Fig. 11) represents the present current of regulation
solenoid valves LR (current value for power regulation).
Fig. 11
The screen 3/6 (Fig. 12) appears only on machines fitted with an
electronically regulated cooler fan drive.
The graphic bar in the lower part of the screen gives the momentary value
of the current to the regulation solenoid valve EV5 for the fan RPM.

Fig. 40 Fig. 41
Fig. 42 Fig. 43
B208 V159 Does not concern the track excavators (SD always=OFF)
min pump value 0% Possibility to reduce the pump flow limitation down 0% , when ON. When the function
is OFF and only for R900 to R924, the flow limitation can only be reduced down to
50% (SD = ON).
UL - X2/19 Disable the lighting of the control light inside the overload warning device control
switch S18 (SD = ON only if an overload warning device is installed ).
SW B26 LOWX17/3 Allows to adapt the monitoring of the quick change coupler to the type of the proximity
switch B26 at the locking pin (make contact or break contact switch)
Set to ON only if the contact is of breaker type (i.e. contact opens when the bolt
leaves the end locked position). Set to "ON" only if the contact of the proximity switch
opens when the locking pin leaves the end locked position.
Oil warm up Activates or deactivates the warm up procedure of the hydraulic oil (SD = ON).
When activated, this warm up procedure is effective for an hydraulic oil temperature lower
than 8°C. During this procedure, the current supplying the solenoid valves when working in
mode E and P are the same as the current when working in mode L and F (low value)
Immobilizer This setting concerns an immobilizer that should not be used on track excavators (SD =
always OFF). The choice is possible only at access level III.
Learn Y40 (SD = always OFF during operation)
This function allows automatic re-initialization of the different currents to the solenoid valve
Y40 used for the positioning of the fuel pump control lever, so to obtain the memorized throttle
RPMs for each of the 10 speed steps adjustable via the touches S228 and S229 of the control
unit.
A learning phasis "learn Y40"has to be realized after any work on the control rod of the
injection pump lever.
To do so, set "learn Y40" to ON, then start the engine. At the end of the learning phasis,
"learn Y40" will reset to OFF automatically.
Fan control This function activates or deactivates the monitoring of the wire to the solenoid regulation
valve Y347 (to allow generation of error code E033). SD = ON for all machines with
hydrostatically driven and electronically regulated cooler fan.
Water warm up Activates or deactivates the warning up procedure of the Diesel engine coolant (SD = OFF).
When activated, this warm up procedure is effective for a coolant temperature lower than
20°C. During this procedure, the engine starts automatically at an RPM stage : stage 3 instead
stage 1. It allows to warm the coolant faster and eventually to prevent the engine to stall when
cold weather.
Fan engine Activates or deactivates the fan monitoring for the CUMMINS engine (SD = OFF).
Clock 12h Activates the american hour system (ON) or the european hour system (OFF) (SD = OFF).
Multi function Activates or deactivates the monitoring of the wire to the solenoid valve EV6 to allow
generation of error code E045 (SD = ON).
The parameter selection is made by selecting the flow limit function (M1, "Pressure commutation", M3,...M7 and SF)
and by selecting the pump.
On machines with Load Sensing hydraulic circuit, the pump choice is limited to EV1.
The pump values adjustment is the same way as for the external flow limit values (I1, I2, ...), in menu « Set pump ».
« Set values »
In the function "set values" (Fig. 59) following time lags can be displayed and adjusted :
the time lag for low idle automatic if selecting "sensor B19" (Fig. 60 and Fig. 61). If no low idle automatic system is
installed on the machine, the screen for adjustment of the time lag will not appear.
the time lag for intermittent mode of the windshield wiper (choice "wiper M4") (Fig. 62 and Fig. 63). Both above
mentioned time lags can also be adjusted using the push buttons controlling the low idle automatic and the
windshield wiper, also see the description of the control unit.
Fig. 62 Fig. 63
