Virtual Hospital Practice

Welcome to our Virtual Hospital Practice! I am your Virtual Clinical Instructor, Dr.
Godfrey G. Mendoza. For our rotation, you will be given a case through a video clip
and you will be required to submit an output based on the video case provided. Let me
walk you through our virtual hospital practice so you could comply with the
requirements.

I. AREA: Obstetrical and Gynecology Ward

II. PROCESS

1. You will be provided with a case related to our area of virtual exposure.

You can request a video copy from me, using the Telegram App. The
video is 38.3 mb in size and cannot be sent through email, messenger, of
FB.

What you can do:

A. Download and install the Telegram App from google play. (Its free)
B. Follow the prompts to start using the app.
C. Add my cellphone number to your contacts in your cellphone so we
will be connected. My number is: 0917-631-3497
D. When your telegram app is ready to use, message me so I could send
you the video, which can be downloaded to your phone and easy to
access even if you are offline.

2. After watching, you are required to answer the following questions

through a handwritten or encoded output.

For those who do not have computers or laptops at home, please write
your output in a coupon bond. For those who have computers or laptop,
encode your output using WORD document or any open access software
compatible to MS office, Century Gothic, Font 12. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO
INTERNET SHOPS OR CAFES FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY SAFETY. STAY AT
HOME AT ANY POINT OF TIME.

FOR ENCODED OUTPUTS: Place all your answers or outputs as ONE WORD
FILE only (NOT SEPARATE FILES) following the filename format:
 Family name of the student_VHP_OB

Example: mendoza_VHP_OB
FOR HANDWRITTEN OUTPUTS: Take a photo of your handwritten output
(every page) and save the images as JPEG file.

QUESTIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

A. What is the case problem of the patient? Prepare the pathophysiology

of the case of the patient using the available information from the
video case.

B. What is the history and chief complain presented in the video? What
are the signs and symptoms that the patient presented in the video?
Prepare your 13 areas of assessment using the available data from the
video case. In cases where there are no data provided under a
specific area of assessment, then do not include in your assessment
findings. Example, if there are no data about the mental status of the
patient, then there is no need to include the mental status assessment
in your 13 areas of assessment report.

C. What were the diagnostic procedures done on the patient to

determine the real cause of the patient’s health problems? Place your
answer following the format below:

1. UTZ of Abdomen Ultrasound is sound that travels
through soft tissue and fluids, but it
bounces back, or echoes, off denser
surfaces. This is how it creates an
image. The term “ultrasound” refers
to sound with a frequency that

uses, the ultrasound is usually
between 2 and 18 megahertz (MHz).

 D. What are the Drugs prescribed to the patient to address the patient’s
health problem? Prepare your Drug Study following the prescribed
format of the CON.

E. What necessary nursing interventions can be done on the patient if

you are the nurse assigned? Prepare your Nursing Care Plan following
the prescribed format of the CON. Prepare at least 2 NCPS (1 Actual
NCP and 1 Potential NCP)

3. Once you are done with your requirements, send them in through email
using this email address: drgodfreygmendoza@gmail.com

Please be reminded:

Encoded output should follow the prescribed filename format previously

stated, and all answers are only in one word file and not on numerous
separate files. Handwritten output should be in JPEG format and will be
send as images.

Your emails subject should follow the format below:

Family name of the student_VHP_OB

Example: mendoza_VHP_OB

4. All requirements should be submitted on or before May 30, 2020 at 11:59

pm. Failure to submit will result to “INCOMPLETE” mark or grade.
