One amongst such is our CASTADOUR DIAMOND PLATES to take care

of Wear protection of various machine components & liners applications.

The detailed compositions are mentioned below for your ready reference:

CASTADOUR DIAMOND PLATES are special type of weld-claded plate,

composed by a support material ST 37 or ST 52 and a hard coating
according to DIN 8555, group no. 10(high C-content, high Cr-content with
special Carbides formation).

The welded deposit belongs to the hyper eutectic Group. The behaviour
against the wear is obtained from the precipitated phases during the
solidification of the deposit .the precipitation pf the primary carbides of
chromium-Niobium –complex
Carbides and borides (Micro hardness 1500 to 3000 HV) and the Eutectic matrix
(750-850 H30) are the foundation of the high resistance

Technology:

A modern facility for manufacturing wear plates includes state-of art welding robots.
Computerised production equipment ensures high quality coating. CAD / CNC – driven
underwater plasma cutting results in high precision and quality cutting. We maintain the
optimum volume fraction of hard carbides & tough matrix by totally automated system.
This ensures maximum wear protection in service.

Weld Chemistry :

The weld deposit is performed by a special tri-axial robot and by using cool-weld-
technology. Weld bead contains finely dispersed complex chromium carbide & boride
reinforced with proprietary micro alloying additions.

Bulk Hardness: 58 – 62 Rockwell C

Thickness of CDP Plate: 4mm high quality complex chromium carbide & boride
cladding on 6mm thk plate : (6+4)=10 mm.

Surface Finish: Welded surface with stress-relief cracks, generally perpendicular to

welding direction.
