Dear Secretary Avisado,

Greetings of good health and prosperity from the People of the Municipality of Padada.

The series of earthquakes that happened in Davao del Sur on October 16, 29, and 31
with a strength of more than 6 magnitude, had damaged different government
infrastructures and dwellings in Padada causing the entire populace of the municipality
in distress.

Last December 15, 2019, a much powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 hits
again the Province of Davao del Sur, and this time, Padada is within the epicenter. This
act of nature that had never been experienced for the last decade left tremendous
damages to the social and economic support facilities of the municipality that greatly
affected the transportation, education, housing and investment of the Local
Government Unit (LGU) of Padada.

After our assessment on the previous earthquake, one of the infrastructure support
facilities that we need to give priority are our major road networks. Present conditions
of strategic roads for disaster response are not concrete hence cause delays in the
delivery of disaster reliefs and rescuers. We desire to improve and build our major
roads into a disaster resilient infrastructure.

However, with our present status we could hardly accomplish this goal due to funding
constraint. Hence, we are asking your good-self to help us avail of funding assistance,
through the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) for the following Farm to Market
Road projects:
