Statement of the Problem

This study focuses on how the teachers’ teaching performance in English students’

academic achievement.

Specifically, the study seeks to answer the following questions :

1. a. What is the perceived level of teachers’ teaching performance in English in terms of their:

a. mastery of the subject

b. teaching abilities and strategies

c. classroom management

d. testing and evaluation

2. What is the level of students’ academic achievement in English in terms of their grades?

3. Is there a significant relationship between the teachers’ teaching performance in English and

the students’ academic achievement?
