Grade Improvement Opportunity for

Lifetime Wellness
Important Information: Students will have the chance to improve Quarter 3
grades. They can choose to complete the optional assignment provided by the
teacher for 3 to 5 points toward their Quarter 3 grade. All work MUST be turned in
by May 11, 2020 by 11:59 p.m. No late work will be accepted.

Hello students,

I hope each one of you are staying safe and as active as you can during this time!
As we prepare to issue quarter 3 report cards and grades, we are giving students an opportunity
to improve their quarter 3 grades. The lifetime wellness packet includes a project for you to work
on independently from home. This project can be completed within two weeks (May 10, 2020)
and is worth five (5) points.

Project: Throughout the semester, we have talked about the dimensions of wellness: physical,
emotional, and mental wellness. During the COVID-19 breakout, we understand as students, you
may be dealing with dimensions of your own wellness. Based on what we learned in class this
year, write a one-page essay outlining how you are dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Are
you continuing your studies? Have you been socially distancing from others, including your
friends? Have you found new ways to stay busy? DO you have new hobbies? Are you enjoying
extended family time? Are you not sure of what a pandemic means?

Write down your experience and submit the assignment by the deadline above.

Your essay can be either handwritten or typed in 12 point Times Roman font double spaced.
I will use the following rubric to grade your essays to ensure you are giving all necessary
elements needed for the project.
