Proposal

My idea is to portray discovering yourself in school in a extreme case of trying to find

yourself. It will start with The main character Lucas and his mate Barry being best mate they
will then start to try and join each group. As they jump between groups people start to
notice and talk badly this causes Barry and Lucas to separate as they do Lucas goes solo in
finding himself. Lucas then comes to a realisation of who he wants to be and has to try and
win back Barry and the rest of the people hes offended, some coming back and others not
accepting it.

My inspirations for this film where real life experience in watching people through school try
and find themselves sometimes hurting others on the way. Also from personal experiences
however like most it just comes from hanging round and seeing things that you let shape
you.

I feel this is different from every other film on the market due to the fact it’s a very niche
market and from what I know of there is not a lot if not no other films with this idea
therefore creating a new experience to watch. I also feel that being such a easy topic to
relate to people will stay engaged throughout the film.

If this was a real production I would sign up to the bectu to ensure I am covered over any
legal issue I could face when publishing a filming. I would also need to insure that I have all
legal rights to use certain songs when editing to avoid getting sued for copyright laws.

As I am doing this production by myself the only crew member I have will be my camera
man – Louis Martin, he will be shooting all of my film as he is avalible for filming when I
need it and also he can help me in making my film better if he disagrees with any of my
shots I will listen to his imput.

As I attend the school I have full permission to film on the premisis as long as I do not course
disruption to any classes. I will need permission to film people who may be seated in the
background as I wouldn’t want to invade peoples privacy.

I have created a whatsapp group in order to keep my camera man Louis and my other actor
Nana updated on dates and times in which we need
to film we aim to get the film filmed in a week so I
have plenty of time to edit.

When filming anywhere but the drama studio I am

goin to use natural lighting to create a natural
environment for people to recognise so they feel a
link to the settings, however in the first scene the
pitch black studio will be lit by the light up mirror
highlight the desk and his face this create the effect of
being in his head space and thoughts as all you can is
him.
A risk assessment is a system put in
place to consider the things that could
go wrong when on the job. I have
consider each location and the
dangers of filming there could bring
going from trip hazards to electrical
hazards. I have assessed each problem
and come up with a way to decrease
the likely hood of the situation
happening

In this Budget I have factored in

everything including: costume,
camera, editing software, appliances
to edit on and paying actors. This is
done to help get an understanding of
how much the total production will
come. This has helped me also
prepare what I need to buy when it
comes to completeing the production
to its highest quality.

The idea development is used to help

build and storyline/idea. I haave used
this as a guide line on what I need in
terms of shots to help show the
storyline clearly. This also helps me
develop on a motif to create a whole
story. Factoring in lighting, props and
location all helping develop a clear
story. Genre is important to
distinguish the film from other I have
picked drama but a reality drama as
its based of real life events that
happen to most.
 The location reece is so I can see
where I need to film this involved
going to the location taking a
photo off the location and saying
why its appropriate for the film
and the storyline. This also goes
over the cost a legals if need
however I have no costs or legals
to consider as I am filming where I
go to school as its based in a
school it fits appropriately.

The equipment list gives an

overview of what is needed to
film and weather it needs to be
aquired or if already owned. This
is a list of things that will help the
production be filmed editied or
enhanced in anyway such as
costumes and props aswell.
