1. Introduction
1.1 The following test procedure has been prepared as a guideline for ;

 The airflow testing of existing unit AC for this project.,

 Temperature measurement.

1.2 This is to be enhanced and developed by the Contractor. Additional

testing and commissioning requirements may be proposed by the
Contractor as appropriate and agreed with the Project M&E Engineer and
Independent Testing and Commissioning Engineer.

1.3 The objective of this procedure is to verify that the correct air flow rate is
available at each unit and the overall air flow rate is correct.

2. Test Instrumentation / Tools Required

2.1 The following test instrumentation & tools shall be required to undertake
the tests detailed within this procedure:

 Alnor Air Flow meter.

 Ceiling Temperature Tester
 Infrared Temperature Tester

2.2 The contractor undertaking the test capacity air flow for each unit, static
pressure and temperature measurement.

2.3 All instrumentation used for the testing, shall come with complete tools.

3. Test Procedures
3.1 Pre-Commissioning

Carry out the following prior to starting any testing and record the results:

3.1.1 Prior to commencing any testing on air flow AC, ensure that the air flow
AC have full speed running with approved method statements.

3.1.2 Prepare existing drawing.

3.1.3 Identify all the unit AC existing confirm designed air flow rate.

4. Test Execution
Once all pre-commissioning activities are completed, the following procedure will
be carried out for each system.

4.1 Airflow Measurement of the unit

4.1.1 Monitor status of the AHU unit from Building Monitoring System (BMS) of
the building to see unit condition and setting and check function then take
the sreenshot from the BMS Screen as the record to confirm the damper
open or close.

4.1.2 Random check for VAV airflow by measuring the diffuser. Check the total
capacity air flow rate of VAV unit matches with the measurement with
Alnor. The two air flow rates should be approximately equal. (If the results
do not match, investigation shall be undertaken to verify the cause and
remedial works carried out).

4.1.3 Calculate the percentage of the design air flow rate being supplied to each
unit.

4.1.4 Record all results, make sure use the same parameter ( cfm, m/s. cmh)

4.1.5 If at any point during the air flow measurement the results do not match,
investigation shall be undertaken to verify the cause and remedial works
carried out.

4.2 Temperature Measurement

4.2.1 Make sure the AC unit setting in the maximal condition.
4.2.2 With infrared temperature, measure the temperature in one point in the
diffuser.
4.2.3 With ceiling temperature, measure and record the temperature of the
zone
4.2.4 Repeat this step for another zone.

5. Test Record Sheets

Testing And Commissioning Records:

 Air Flow Test Sheet

 Static Pressure Test Sheet
 Temperature Measurement Test Sheet
 Attached A3 size drawing showing the pitot traverse location.
