Arts appreciation

• Artist and Artisan


- The difference between the two is that ,Artist is a person who creates, practices
and/ or demonstrates any art. While Artisan is a skilled craft worker who makes or
creates things by hand.

• Managers , Curator, Buyers, Collectors, Art dealers


-Mangers are entrusted with the responsibility of guiding and directing the
organization to achieve its Goals.
- Buyers, are those present in auctions who are looking for any piece of art.
-Collectors, one the main responsibilities of a collector is able to support the
community fundraiser with store and street collections.
-Dealers, his/her function is discovering and exhibiting the works of new artist as
well aw presenting exhibits, open to public are of outstnading benefit to artist.

1. Production Process
it can refer to the making of something or a final product. Process is how the art is
made, drawing, weaving, printmaking, and photography are examples of different
processes.

• Meduim, Technique Approach


- Meduim is the material you are using in your work
-techniue and approach, is how the creativity of an artist do repeatittive work in
order to create a master piece.

• GAMABA National Artist


GAMABA (Gawad Malikha ng Bayan) also known as folk artist mostlyfrom the
indigenous cultural communities practicing traditional arts.

• Events/ Exhibits / Managing Audience


This is when Artist from a certain place, show or auction there artwork for charity
or certain events that involves transactions, buying and selling master pieces.

Elements of Art
• Visual
-art forms such as paintings, drawings,printmaking, sculpture, ceramic.
• Auditory
-the art of arranging sounds in time so as to produce a continuous, unified, and
evocative composition like melod, harmony, rhythm, and timbre.
-Vocal or intruments sounds possesings a degre of melody harmony or rhythm.
• Combined
- art that incorporates various objects into a painted canvas surface, creating a sort
of hybrid between painting and sculpture
- a collection of different art such as painting,singing and musical instrument.
• Perfomance art
-an art form that combines visual art with dramatic perfomances
• Fusions and overlapping
-Fusion, art fusion occurs when an artist collaborates with a brand of any kind-
product,service,concept or piece for the benefit of both parties and society as a
whole.
-Overlapping, in art is the placement of objects overone another in order to creat
the illusion of depth.

• interrelated elements
• Graffiti
-also called street art , commonly refers to decorative imagery appliued by paint
or other means to building, public property etc.
• Poetry
-a quality of beauty and intensity of emotion regarded as characteristics of poem.
• Digital art
-art that uses digital technology as part of the creative or presentation process.
• Transactions (music to dance, text to dance, dance to visual)

Reading the image


• Semiotic plane
-covers the element and the general technical and physical aspects of the work
with their semantics.
• iconic plane
-positioning of the figures whether frontal, in profile and how to present it.
• contextual plane
-involves the concepts of values, emotion, attitude, atmosphere ,sensory
experiences and etc.
The difinition of renaissance art and medival art is that, they focus on the
crusaiders and how religion is interrelated to the art. For example Michel Angelo and his
paintings on the Chapel on Rome, the Last supper and etc.
