1.1. Current Business Introduction

1.1.1. History

In 1949 a newly-built American Center Yangon opened its doors today at the corner
of Inya Road and University Avenue.in this American Center you will see the
Baldwin library. The new American Center Yangon represents the largest single
financial commitment by the U.S. government in an American Center anywhere in
the world, demonstrating the strong U.S. commitment to U.S.-Myanmar relations
and the friendship between the peoples of both countries.

After few years of hard working make this library popular around students. At start
we only had hundred member and we don’t have a lot of book in back days. But we
survive by sponsor who donate book for us to make Myanmar better place. But now
over 17,000 current library members, English language students, civil society
leaders who attend training at the Institute of Political and Civic Engagement and
other visitors, the American Center Yangon has historically been a space to learn,
build connections with each other, and bring new ideas to life. The new American
Center houses a state-of-the-art library of over 12,000 books – one of the largest in
Myanmar.

1.1.2. Process

In this Baldwin library we use 2 type of system, online system and offline system.

Online system

In online system, we got a website named American Center Yangon. You can find a
lot of book which are available in our library. And u can create your member
account to access library for 1 year for only 3000 kyat and you will get email that
you are member of this library after that u can go to Baldwin library which exist in
American center to get your member card which allowed you to access for 1 year to
American center and Baldwin library .U can also update your member card in this
website too. U can check history and services in this website what we serve in this
library.

Offline system

Donation/Purchase

Record and create member

In offline system, if u want to get access to library u need to create your member
account which only cost 3000 kyat for 1 year. After that you will receive member
card which allowed you to access American Center Yangon and Baldwin library for
1 year. In this member card you can access to all the book

Borrow and return book

By using your member card u can borrow 3 book at each time and your name and
the book that u borrow will record in the system so other can easily know that the
book they want is available or not but u have to return book in 1 week if u didn’t
finish reading u can borrow the same book for more few weeks. When u return your
bookthe record in the system will be removed.

Rules

In this Baldwin library reader cannot talk very loud and do annoying things for other
reader. If

1.1.3. Issues

There are a lot of issue in library, at first member keeping book and accidently tore it or not
retuning it. And as a technical issue. We need to make changes and event in our library to get to the
ears of sponsors; otherwise, things will fall apart
1.1.4. System to be development

we need to use a lot of technical things so we can easily find books and know which books are
not return over limited duration. Library need to come up with the current trends in research so
that they can help other out in that sector. The need for validation of all library

Library need help to come up with digital libraries to make books more accessible. And librarian also
require understanding the current trends in research so that they can help others out in that sector. The
need for validation of all library purchases as well as the strict budget on which they operate makes it
hard for them to accept applications for books from their patrons.

We used php programming language in our library and to store data we use data base with my
sql software program

We use black box and white box testing to test our system its right or wrong.
