A.S: How would you greet someone in Spanish? How about in English?
Does anyone know another way to greet someone?

1. Today we’re going to be singing a greeting song that has both

English and Spanish.
2. We’re going to incorporate two instruments (drum and shaker).
3. Let’s play a little bit of the song so you can be familiar with the beat.
4. Play a short piece of the song (Goodmorning).
5. Now we’re going to use our instruments to play along to the beat.
6. We’re going to divide you in to two groups (Group 1- drums
Group 2- shakers).
7. (Good morning) If you have a drum you will play for the Spanish part.
8. If you have a shaker you’re going to shake for the English part.
9. Switch group roles (Good Afternoon) Shakers will be Spanish and
Drums will be English.
10. (Goodnight) Have students choose what instrument/ language to
play along to.

Closure: Does anyone remember a way we greeted? Was that in the

morning? Afternoon? or Night? When we were playing our instruments we
were playing to the underlying pulse of the music.. Does anyone know what
this is called? (Beat)
