Week 8: RELA/Math Choice Board
Each day, choose ​ONE​ of the following tasks that you haven’t already done this week.
COLOR-BY-NUMBER
Create a “Color-by-Number” page
with ​at least 20 problems​ on a
mixture​ of any skills we’ve practiced
this year in ​MATH​ and include an
answer key. ​Click Here​ for one a
student made on dividing fractions.
Take a picture when it is done and
send it to your teacher (either via
email or Google Classroom)!
THEME COMIC STRIP
Create a comic strip with ​at least 8
frames​. Your comic will be about
someone teaching about how to find
the theme of a story. You should
have key components of a comic strip
including dialogue in speech bubbles,
pictures, and a beginning/middle/end
storyline.
BE THE TEACHER!
Have someone film you being a
teacher and teaching any skill we’ve
covered this year in ​MATH​. As a
teacher, you should have:
- Introduction: ​“Today, you will learn
how to __.”
- An example that you go through
while explaining to your students
what you are doing and why.
- practice problems for your students
to solve, then go over the answers
with them.
Consider how your teacher goes
through her lesson, and use your
personal experience to help you come
up with your lesson! Make sure you
prepare and practice before filming!
Turning In Work:​ You can take a picture/scan it and upload it to the “Show Your Work” page, email
the final product to me, or (if it is digital) share it with me via Google if that’s where you made it!!
JOURNAL ENTRY
Write a journal entry from the ​Point
of View ​of a character from a book
we have read this year. You must
write at least 15 sentences.
Remember to include details from
the story such as; setting, conflict,
characters. Try to imagine what that
character would say and think.
Math Mystery
Complete the math mystery attached
to Week 8 Assignments in Google
Classroom.
**This can count for 2 days of math
time this week, if completed!**
HOW-TO DOODLE PAGE

Create your own Doodle Page
teaching about any skills we’ve
covered this year in ​MATH​. Notice
how the example has a combination
of teaching and practice problems;
yours should, too!! It should be 1-2
pages with at least 15 problems total.
You must also create the answer key
(use a separate piece of paper, or
even a copier if you have one!)
CREATE A CROSSWORD PUZZLE
Make a crossword puzzle about
Reconstruction. You must have ​at
least 15 clues​ total, and be sure to
solve it to create the answer key! Use
this site​ to make one digitally, OR
use this graph paper​ to do it on
paper.
ANGLES PIC COLLAGE
Look around your house and outside
of it (NOT on the internet) and find
10 things that have various angles
(acute, right, and obtuse angles).
Take a picture of them, then label all
the angles in the picture. Finally,
make a collage with the pictures
(Google Slides is great for this) and
share it with your teacher!
AUTHOR’S PURPOSE RAP SONG
Choose a rap song (or any song,
really!) that you know well, then
rewrite the lyrics to ​teach​ about (not
just talk about)​ author’s purpose​! Be
sure to include ​PIE ​You do not need
to rewrite the whole song, only
enough that you are singing for about
30 seconds to a minute.
Have someone record you rapping,
then upload the video to your Google
Drive so you can add it to the Share
Your Hard Work page.
OR
Put your lyrics on the Share Your
Hard Work page if you aren’t
comfortable singing it on video. Be
sure to tell me what song you are
singing to!
