Description: The Purpose of the Project is renewable electricity generation for the National Electric Grid (SEIN). The project will have an installed ca-
pacity of 9.6 MW and it will deliver 69.81 GWh to the National Grid annually. It is located in the districts of Condesuyos, Salamanca, and department
of Arequipa.

Earliest project start date: 2011. Number of direct and indirect jobs generated:
Operation start date: 2012. It generates 130 new direct and 230 indirect jobs.

Current Status: Feasibility studies completed. Authorizations already The project will contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions

Description: The project consists of a run-of-river hydropower plant to be located in Peru, department of Ancash, province of Huaylas. The projects
installed capacity and estimated yearly average generation will be 114.6 MW and 457.79 GWh.

Current Status: Projects Benefits:

Earliest project start date: February 2011.
Operation start date: October 2014.
Project lifetime: 40 years.
Current Status: Environmental study approved. Energy and Water con-
cession were given. Feasibility study completed. Letter of Approval was
issued by DNA. It has been registered at the Executive Board.
Sustainable development contribution:
It will produce cheap energy with environmental impact.
It would allow rural communities, improving their economic and pro-
duction activities.
It will fulfill the environment norms through the approval of its Environ-
mental Impact Study.

Estimated Annual Emission Reductions (tCO2/year):

An average of 249,463 tCO2-equivalent per year. CER´s negotiation:
