EVALUATION OF AUTO BABY CRY DETECTOR SLEEP MUSIC PLAYER”.

The study has the following objectives:

1. to develop a device that was capable of detecting cry of a baby.
2. to produce a lullaby music when the device is triggered.
3. to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the device.

Mechanics and Guidelines
I. Eligibility: This competition is open to all bona fide students of CEIT only. Contestants
must be currently enrolled for the school year 2019-2020.
II. Team: Each society should have one participant only.
III. Time: On-stage presentation is allocated 3-5 minutes. Marks will be deducted
thereafter.
IV. Theme: Must sing any song from the 1980s or earlier years for the preliminaries and an
OPM song for the final three. Preferably songs that is familiar / popular for audience
impact.
V. All participants should prepare and submit the minus one copy of their songs in .mp3
format to the CEIT LSG officers a day before the competition and bring a back-up copy
via usb before the start of the event on September 8, 2019.
VI. Back up performers are not allowed
VII. Criteria:

a. Voice Quality: ------ 50%

(Tonality, appropriateness to
genre, and technique)
b. Style of performance: ----- 30%
(Rendition qualities,
discipline, timing and
precision, delivery and
interpretation)
c. Overall Appeal: ----- 20%
(Stage appeal and audience
impact)
