INTRODUCCTION

The following unit was developed in order to imply and remember the simple
and continuous past tense of the sixth grade students, in order to develop the
teaching process of the foreign language to these students.

For the development of the unit was created a cartoon where it shows and
narrates the trades of a person on a personal and family level; A class plan for
that grade which indicates achievements to be achieved and activities to be
developed.
5. OBJECTIVES

OBJETIVE GENERAL

To promote the understanding of the past simple and continuous time to the
students of grade six using different commands, verbs and others and thus to
achieve a good understanding and learning of our foreign language solving
exercises and other activities that help us to learn and to understand more this
language.

ESPECIFIC OBJETIVE

Develop strengthening and understanding exercises

Practice pronunciation of that language

Understand and learn more about the topic

express actions using the continuous
past. Properly apply vocabulary and
expressions commonly used in
English. Performs oral and written
exercises with great ease

ACTIVITIES TO DEVELOP Observe some drawings and


recognize which is the verb in English
that can describe each activity.
 
 They read a cartoon using reading
comprehension strategies.
 
They analyze the use and form of the
continuous past and describe the
activities that were being carried out at
a given time in the past.

They describe orally a series of


activities carried out by the students in
the school or the house.

 Then complete sentences using the


continuous past.

To finish this activity the students


answer some questions and practice
the interrogative form of the
continuous past.

 They analyze the use and form of the


simple past and the continuous past
and complete sentences using the
relative pronouns while or when.

EVALUATION: The work will be evaluated during the


process and at the end according to
evidences and the last work done by

CONCLUSIONS

The English language is a way of dialectical expansion as it allows us to know how


to pronounce and write our language so that we can interact with people from the
countries where English is spoken.

It is very necessary that much use is made of the didactics for the teaching-
learning process and more teaching English since the students learn more by way
of play and didactics than by writing them or dictating everything in a notebook
