Clearguard Az S 350 U
microcomputer axle counting system
Track clear and occupied indication of track sections

The Clearguard Az S 350 U axle counting system

Benefits
(U = universal) is a fail-safe track vacancy detection
facility designed for use in mainline, regional, industrial High cost-effectiveness due to reduced life-cycle costs, low level
and urban railways. Track sections are indicated as clear of susceptibility to faults and low-cost spare part stockage
or occupied on the basis of a microcomputer which
operates in line with the Simis principle. No track insulation required

Low maintenance requirement

The Clearguard Az S 350 U axle counting system can
process signals from up to five directly connected High level of availability through fault-tolerant evaluation of
counting heads and monitor up to four track vacancy axle counting signals by multiple-axle counting method
detection sections per evaluation computer.
Low space requirements due to compact design
Clearguard Az S 350 U can be used
• with all types of traction Easy configuration by means of DIP switches

• with all common car types

Connection to any interlocking via parallel relay interface
• in station areas and on single- and
multiple-track lines
• on track sections of any length
• with speeds of up to 400 km/h

In addition to counting head and section data, the

Clearguard Az S 350 U axle counting system can
also transmit binary information (block information)
bidirectionally.
Technical data
