Yes, Tagalog language can be considered as an "official language" of the Philippines because it
has a huge advantage over the other dialects that the Filipinos have. As stated in article of Teodoro
Llamzon's "Tagalog as a Dominant language", the Philippines have a language diversity which was
considered as a quite complex situation during the Spanish era and due to this reason, President Manuel
L. Quezon calls for a national assembly on 1935 to establish a common national language.

Tagalog was considered, because Tagalog language is the most elaborated and polished which
has been mostly used in periodicals, books and highly developed literature, it also has similar words to the

factors: Mankind, Nation and Individual.

your means and ways to promote the interests of our own language?

As a young Filipino citizen, it is significant to give importance our National Language because it
signifies our culture and identity as Filipinos. It should always also be given respect and be taught to
everyone because giving good education about our language is not just about keeping the skills that we
learned from it but it is a way of preserving our own cultural heritage, traditions and values, and also a
way of letting the younger generations and other nation to understand it completely.

Also, we will promote our national language by means of continuously learning and using the
language in academia, having more research paper that discusses the how rich the Philippines in terms
of languages and the uses of it in television, news, articles and in stage show. By this, our national
language will be preserved and it will have more value over other languages.
