Procedure for E- filing.


 AOR needs to register on the official website of
Supreme Court to initiate the process. The AOR
can register at https://main.sci.gov.in/efiling-
registration.
 The petition should be properly scanned and in
PDF form. The maximum size of the scanned
petition should be 5 MB and the petition should be
duly signed by the filling AOR, in case the petition
is of larger size then the petitioner can compress
the petition or upload multiple files of 5 MB each
under different heads available in the drop down
menu.
 The petitioner should ensure that all the relevant
documents such as Vakalatnama and impugned
order are attached with the file. The petitioner
should also ensure that proper Court fee is paid as
per Supreme Court Rules 2013.
 The AOR should ensure that proper details of the
parties are inserted in the window provided for it.
The details should contain proper address of the
parties with Pin code.
 The petitioner has to pay an amount of Rs 6 per
page, the total amount and total number of pages
is displayed at the end of the procedure, the said
payment can be made via online payment gateway.
 Once the petition is completed and requisite
information and payment is made, a Provisional
Application number is generated. Pursuant
thereto, a Diary Number of the Petition filed is also
sent via SMS on the registered mobile number of
the AOR.
 The petitioner can file a letter requesting urgent
hearing of the matter. The letter should contain all
the relevant details with a synopsis of the petition

For E- Filing the website provides for creation of
a user account with all the relevant details of the
individual, the said details should be accompanied
with relevant documents which are to be uploaded
on the portal.
Once the user account is created, the portal
provides for filing of compliant under different
heads. The portal generates a reference number
once the basic details of the petition provided by
the user. The user must ensure that all the details
entered in the portal are correct and accompanied
by all the relevant documents. The portal also
provides for both, online payment of fee and
offline payment of fee via demand draft. Once the
payment is processed a filling number is generated
by the portal for reference of the user.

 Once the mentioning is allowed, an SMS shall
be sent to the advocate on the registered mobile

of hearing. All requisite documents be

hours of receiving of confirmatory SMS to
ensure that the matter gets listed for the given
date.

 If the matter is clear from all ‘defects’, it will be
listed on the given date and time for hearing. The
designated office would facilitate the process by
providing all the details with regards to
procedure of hearing.
 In case ‘defects’ are found in the matter; an
SMS shall be sent to the registered mobile
number of the advocate intimating him of the
same with a request to clear the defects withing
a given time frame.
 In the event said application for urgent listing is
rejected an option will also be given in the
intimation message for putting up the request for
urgent listing before the designated Hon’ble
Judge for reconsideration. On exercising the
option made available on the registered mobile
of concerned ‘counsel on record’ through SMS,
the matter shall be further put up to the
designated Hon’ble Judge for reconsideration.
However, such option for exercising
reconsideration shall be available till 3.00 pm
same day only.
 It is pertinent of mention that the notification
dated 26.04.2020 further notified that the
Hon’ble Court would expand the ambit of digital
hearing and shall take up certain specific matters
as provided in the said notification.
 The notification provided that all the parties
related to categories of cases mentioned in the
notification and who are interested in listing of
their matter for digital hearing, shall send
scanned copy of jointly signed application to the
designated email i.e. consent-
listing.dhc@gov.in within one week. Such
application shall also contain complete
particulars of the case, names, mobile numbers
and email IDs of all such counsel.

 E- Filling procedure in Subordinate Courts.

 The Courts subordinate to the Delhi High Court


have issued separate specific notification
entailing details of a designated person, whom
the parties can approach for requesting urgent
hearing.
 The notification also provides for a designated
email address for submitting the petition in
prescribed form for the parties who have
secured permission for urgent hearing.
 The parties are required to send complete paper
book (Bail application or Plaint + Stay
application with documents), indicating the
email id of the Advocate/litigant on the paper
book itself, in PDF format to the dedicated
email.
 Once all the required formalities are completed
the designated person would intimate the
