Simple problems on linear cost and linear revenue functions and break even points.
(i) There will be two questions of 10 marks each. Each question will have
three subdivisions. First and second questions carry 4 marks and the
third question carries 2 marks.
(ii) Students will have to answer one out of two questions.

(c) Find the length of the arc which subtends an angle of 600 at the centre of a

40. (a) In a school of 500 students each student has to play atleast one game
either Cricket or Hocky. If 300 play cricket and 250 play. Hockey find the
no. of students who play both Cricket and Hockey.
(b) A person at a distance 100l 3 m from a tower find the angle of elevation 4
to be 600. Find the height of the tower.
(c) The total cost of production of x units of a product is a linear function if the
fixed cost is Rs.100 and the variable cost is Rs.10 per unit.
