U U U U U
(ii) n(AUBUC)=n(A)+n(B)+n(C)-n(A B)-n(B C)-n(A C) + n(A B C)

b. Logarithms : Specific problems of the following type

(i) To find the number of digits in 320 (given log3)
(ii) To find the number of zeros immediately after
decimal point in (0.05)10 (given log 0.05)

c. Progression :
To find sum of series using Σn, Σn2, Σn3.

Arithmetic :

(i) Problems on simple interest, compound interest (only compounded annibelly)

Trignometry :

a. Simple problems on heights and distances

b. Problems on S=rθ , A=1/2 r2θ

Cordinate Geometry :

Simple problems on linear cost and linear revenue functions and break even points.
(i) There will be two questions of 10 marks each. Each question will have
three subdivisions. First and second questions carry 4 marks and the
third question carries 2 marks.
(ii) Students will have to answer one out of two questions.
