Content Standard
The learner demonstrates understanding of the concepts and principles of safety education to prevent
injuries.
Performance Standard
The learner practices the habits of observing appropriate personal safety measures at all times.
I. Objectives
During the learning engagement, the students are expected to:
Explain the concept of environmental health;
Provide causes on one of the environmental problems in the Philippines – Noise Pollution;
Analyze the impact of the environmental problem (Noise Pollution) on people’s health;
Value human health by making a shoutout in a piece of paper making it known to all that
noise pollution can affect people so we must be responsible in our actions (Noise Pollution
Awareness Wall) and also to be able to do the Expansion activity.

MATERIALS
LCD Projector, Macbook, Speaker, Power Point Presentation
C. Lesson Proper
Students will be asked to arrange the jumbled letters to form words that may refer to
the environmental issues that may refer to the environmental issues that affect our
community or Philippines as a whole.

i. Floods
- What environmental issue is being shown in the picture? (Picture of the Earth suffering
from Noise Pollution)
- Students will be asked to categorize the pictures and differentiate noise from sound
based on the pictures.
- What are the characteristics of a healthy and ideal community? Which do you prefer in a
rural area (here in Albor) or urban area like Surigao? Why or why not?
IV. Evaluation
Students’ Task:
They will be divided into groups to do the following tasks.
(Rubric will be attached)
Tiered Activities
Group 1: Compose a song/rap about noise pollution and its effect to human health, making
people realize the consequences of their actions.
Note: Mention instances in your community that are considered noise instead of a sound.
(Minimum of 8 lines-Maximum of 12 lines)
Group 2: Collect objects/name objects (only if you can’t carry it) that often cause noise
pollution inside the classroom. Construct a display with your objects. Make use of the table in
front, Write a short paragraph that explains your display. This will be presented in class.
V. Writing Assignment
Thoughts to ponder (Expansion Activity):
As a student, what can you do to help your community to become an ideal one?
If you were the Barangay Chairman in your place, what ordinance will you promote to
help your community lessen at least one or two of its perennial problems?
