CORRECT:

The major concern of the experiment was to test the effectiveness of 3 Psychological Theories,
teaching Psychological Concepts.

The 3 theories were Psychoanalytic Theory, Cognitive Theory and Stimulus-Response Theory. An
experiment, which lasted for 2 weeks was conducted. One group was asked to study the
Psychological Concepts using Psychoanalytic Theory, the other group used Cognitive Theory while the
third group used Stimulus-Response Theory. At the end of the experiment, the 3 groups were post-
tested. The results are summarized in Table 1.

Results of the Statistical Analysis reveal the Sums of Square Between Set equals 35.48 with the
Degrees of Freedom equals 2. The Sums of Square Within Set is 58.0 with the Degrees of Freedom of
20. This results to Mean Square Between Set Value of 17.74 and Mean Square Within Set Value of
2.90. The F Ratio was registered at 6.12.

At 0.05 Alpha, where N1 is equal to 8, N2 is equal to 8 and N3 is equal to 7, the Critical Value was
recorded at 3.49. The value of the Computed F and the Critical F shows that the Computed Value is
much greater than the Critical Value.

Since the Computed value exceeded that of the Critical value, the Null Hypothesis can be rejected.
Therefore, we can conclude that SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE exists in the effectiveness of the
Psychoanalytic, Cognitive and Stimulus-Response Theory.

A closer look at the data would show that the group who made use of Psychoanalytic Theory
recorded a Mean performance equal to 86. The group who made use of Cognitive Theory recorded a
Mean value of 84.0, while the group who utilized Stimulus-Response Theory obtained a Mean value
of 87.0.

There is reason to believe that Stimulus-Response Theory is significantly more effective than
Cognitive Theory.
