El seminario se propone servir de vía de entrada a la exploració n de las relaciones

teó ricas, conceptuales y científicas que se pueden desarrollar entre los estudios
filosó ficos de la cognició n –filosofía de la mente- y el estudio de fenó menos
psicopatoló gicos en general, aunque con cierto énfasis en patologías de tipo psicó tico. El
seminario pretende ser realmente introductorio al tema, y por consiguiente los textos
que se van a trabajar se han seleccionado de modo que sirvan a ese propó sito, desde la
célebre contribució n de Karl Jaspers, hasta los aportes má s recientes, que resultan del
desarrollo de un marcado interés por esta confluencia de disciplinas. En efecto, en la
psicología clínica, y especialmente en la psiquiatría contemporá neas, se han
generalizado reflexiones acerca de sus disciplinas y de los fenó menos con los que tratan
que han conducido a muchos especialistas de estas á reas a vincularse con grupos
filosó ficos de trabajo con el fin de afinar conceptualmente sus reflexiones. Del mismo
modo, el desarrollo natural de los estudios e investigaciones en filosofía de la mente y
de la cognició n han encontrado en los fenó menos psicopatoló gicos un tema de estudio
que puede aportar, con datos empíricos de primera mano, a la manera como se hace
investigació n en esas ramas de la filosofía contemporá nea.
